Elon Musk could be spending his billions of dollars improving the world, building links between the haves and have nots, helping the disenfranchised and the poor, bringing aid to the sick and old and dying but instead he spews loathing, spreads fear, leaving hate in his wake. Shame on you Elon Musk

Trump is probably the most dangerous man on the planet. I just hope that the USA’s military commanders, judiciary and law enforcement leaders are brave enough to resist his irrational behaviour and only act within the powers granted them by the Constitution.

I tend to agree with you, Trump is a fascist and I despair that anyone would vote for him. However, as a democrat, (not a Democrat!), I’d defend anyone’s right to vote as they desire. The shame is that 80 million American citizens did vote for him. It wasn’t just the Cuban emigrés that elected him.

The truth hurts….. Many voted for Trump as they feel they have been deserted by the democrats and ‘old school’ republicans. It’s true, working people have seen their jobs outsourced, their mortgages and rents soar and the wealthy become obscenely rich. They voted from a position of despair

The Cuban people simply struggle to survive on a daily basis and have no desire to undermine the USA’s people’s way of life. Do not confuse them with the state actors of Russia and China.

Under British Law it is illegal for political parties to accept foreign donations of money or assets. As long as the Electoral Commission does its job Musk will not be able to donate to the Neanderthals of the Reform Party.

So finally the lies peddled by the Brexiteers are being recognised. My fear is that Starmer and the rest of the Labour Party leadership don’t have the courage to lead the country as we need them too. The UK voted for change, let’s hope the present Government have the strength of will do to just that

I’ve said it before and no doubt I’ll say it again. The government should re-nationalise these companies with no compensation to the shareholders of these companies. They’ve had plenty of our money, achieved nothing for the environment and upped our bills at will. A national disgrace

I don’t often disagree with you Carol but drink spiking is already highly illegal, (assault, administering a noxious substance, supplying a controlled drug), is it a good use of parliamentary time and resources when so much needs doing in other areas of our national life?

The ignorance is astounding. I would expect such stupidity in Trump’s America but on a main stream UK broadcasts is unacceptable. Heads should roll

Strange how people desire changes to bout electoral system when they have lost but when they win they’re very happy with the status quo. Eg. The Lib Dem support of Cameron which led directly to the Brexit vote. Pathetic……. Get a life

The reality is that half of the people who voted in the US election supported a misogynistic, unstable, lying, ignorant, xenophobic, egocentric, rapist. If that’s not a worry I don’t know what is.

I love an Armagnac. Especially on this dank wintry evenings.

The victim’s daughter spoke eloquently against capital punishment. The tragedy is that nations, political entities, criminals, xenophobes, misogynists and religious extremists take life everyday. ‘Us humans’ still have so much to learn.

I cannot fathom how a nation built on genocide and racial hatred can treat its neighbours so violently. The October Hamas attack was an affront to all civilised people but Israel has lost the sympathy of all right thinking people with its savagery and violence.

Spain has realised that their economy and civic services need immigration. If only other governments could be as rational

John Prescott….. always a true socialist. The world is a slightly more barren place without him. RIP.

Absolutely disgust! That money, every blooming penny should go into the crumbling infrastructure which these modern day bandits have watched fall apart. It’s absolutely immoral that these so called profits should be handed out to their mates in the city. This is a national disgrace

It is about time. Thames Water will still have to be bailed out by the tax payers and director remuneration still increases year on year in all these companies. The entire industry should be re-nationalised without any compensation for the corrupt companies that have milked their customers for years

It’s a good idea but the MAGAs will not believe it.

Brexit was the biggest error ever made by the electorate here in the UK. Bigotry, racism and xenophobia were the winners and it was all based on lies spread by the right wing media and self serving millionaires

I don’t even live in the USA and he’s scaring me. How did over 76million people vote for this person? The gun loving, socialist hating, wilfully ignorant inhabitants of America have helped set this lunatic free to destroy everything decent in a modern society. God help us

What is a ‘fancy woke filling’? I’m a bit confused here, surely one can have whatever one wants in a sandwich, that’s why so many people enjoy them.

I was arrested for ‘Language & Behaviour liable to cause a breach of the Peace. The arresting officer stated that in 25 service it was the worst language he’d ever heard! In horror at the lies I exclaimed ‘you effing liar’, ‘He’s effing lying!’ Verdict: Case Dismissed Justice was served

I can’t believe that some of the finest books ever written are being banned in a ‘democracy’. Of course I’ve read about the goings on in schools and libraries across the pond but seeing a few of the titles just scares me! Where will such lunacy end?
