For ours I most recently did Robinson Crusoe, Northanger Abbey, Great Expectations, Mrs Dalloway, Kincaid’s Lucy (also pairs great with Brontë if you swap out Dickens), and Ma’s Severance. If texts in translation are ok (sounds like yes?), Balzac’s Père Goriot is short and teaches brilliantly
