Yay! Now I'll know the best day to send a big box of excrement to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave!

My teen is doing a high school science project on 'Human Versus AI Generated Images' and of the 100 responses, at least a third were shocked at how difficult it was to judge.

I really shouldn't make a joke here, but... I really think that story should end with the quote, "I am Groot."

My membership renewal is in Feb, but I am waiting to see how they bargain with their staff/unions. Strike may start 1/31.

I think it's time to start using the word Antichristian. It's fitting for the beginning of the end.

I want to read an ebook series that is several years old. It is so popular that the @lapubliclibrary.bsky.social has 74 copies of it and 635 waiting. It will still be 18 weeks until I can get it. 😂

Watch it a second time like I did. Cross country flight. I forgot there were a couple of graphic scenes, even with headphones on, I swear I heard a loud gasp from behind me.

If you need GPIO, micro-controllers are far cheaper.

For my use cases, I find esp32 micro-controllers to be a better value for GPIO.

I haven't bought a pi since the pi3, but I have picked up a dozen esp32 devices and recently picked up a pair of Dell 7010s for $15 each.
I moved on. The Pi Foundation hurt themselves too often with shortages and hardware inadequacies.

I live 30 miles from their HQ. A few years ago I had some cash and thought, "I'm going to treat myself AND support a local company." I went to Costco and got one. I spent 2-3 weeks of frustration trying to get their software to properly work on my Android devices. Returned it and never looked back.

Libby and Overdrive are both owned by Rakuten. They are interchangeable. I often go on to the LAPL Overdrive page on the PC to search and download to Libby on my phone.

I live 50 miles from LAX. Several years back we were going on a trip and I decided we'd stop at LAPL to get library cards on our way to the airport since our local library had a meager digital book selection. Best idea ever.
