yearly charity event (12h livestream) from germany called Friendly Fire, from some prominent german youtube/twitch personalities, 10 years and donating the collected money to multiple different orgs. also they usually do a small "emergency fond" for crisis donations and stuff.

Seems like a cool idea and a nice compromise.
can still gain life, but not in the thousends and stuff.
balancing would be interesting, but as a starting idea really cool.
would also help decks get some other boon, when they dont need commander damage with their deck.
