Who is impressed by the medical system! Not me.

Yeah, I think there is debate there for sure, and for good reason. But it's fascinating nonetheless.

Is it seeing or is it felt? Can we separate the feeling from the catalyzing sight? That is, can we allow that affect (feeling) occurs before and separate from emotions and is separate from sensory experience? There is always murkiness with these studies because of certain starting assumptions.

Can you explain the particular use of perceptual here? It seems the phenomena is an affectual feeling, relational in some way rather than representational, though I assume it can play a role. It reminds me of those with OCD and the feeling of contamination despite rational awareness of the opposite

Is that awareness then a feeling of recognition of a 'something' as a 'something'? Or Is it a functional representation than need not be conscious or felt (if not the same).I feel the whole endeavor turns into a chicken and the egg situation.

Watch my film 'One 2 Zero' since it revolves around a consciousness test. I don't claim it's a good film, but it might inspire some relevant questions. link.tubi.tv/YOcU6xjGZQb (Yes, It is a real link for those like me.)

Consciousness requires awareness in your statement, and awareness requires knowledge. But, it sounds like knowledge can ONLY be unconscious. Do you see knowledge this way? #Knowledge how, knowledge that

Certainly, my perception plays a part. Excited for the joke (sincerely)!

Back in the 90s, artists and musicians fought back against claims of negative influence, but is there evidence that suggests lawmakers at the time were right? All media influences. I am guessing we are experiencing evidence of it today?

What cultural norms are video games instilling in us? Who has properly scoped the landscape to say what they are and whether they are dysfunctional or not? 1/2

Speaking out of ignorance here, didn't something like this happen to Iran in the 70s?

The real fear for me is that, despite the speculations above and below here, no one really knows what will happen. Likelihoods keep failing us, and extremes are a real possibility.

Though, I am neutral here. Don't be offended if I don't take your word for it.

I hope you get a chance to share your initial thoughts on this.

Do we know what the model of consciousness the brain produces is like?

The skeptic's points about animation have some nuanced problems or misanalogies, but that was a fun read overall. It made me think of writing a similar trilogue for human affect. Definitely follow Birch's moderus.

I should probably read it then.

No, Jonathan, no. The smell of coffee is the ONLY experience one needs.

It's one of the MOST non-trivial things to determine, certainly. As for functionally seeing, for some reason, I don't find it surprising - but I do find it damn fascinating.
