$90/$2603!!! Any help keeps my kids and I housed and my internet/phone on so I can survive with crowdfunding! Anything is appreciated šŸ’œ

Some of y'all need to be better at hearing "my friend might be a jackass" even if you disagree because you really be posting how much you hate NG and then publicly massacre people who try to talk to you about someone you love hurting them.

Every artist I know is really struggling right now. Financially, emotionally, their confidence, in general. If you like an artist's work, support them any way you can. Buying their stuff or subscribing to their Patreon is great, but words of encouragement are also incredibly helpful.

relevant thoughts from this: one thing that keeps jumping out to me every time I run into this situation is "how can I prioritize the safety of both past and potential victims?" Certainly "make sure potential victims KNOW" is up there, but I also feel like... *Not* giving them a further reason to be

if there's a running theme of people having active misgivings or past issues w/ a friend or lover of yours -- I'm not gonna say "listen to them", we do not live in a world where that's a fair and even statement But I feel like I can reasonably say: don't completely wall yourself off from everyone-

Right. Transphobic asshats have got a petition to repeal the GRA to over 10,000 signatures. Fuck that. Let's get this one higher: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

I think writers and artists need to learn self-respect. And I mean it. To not hedge around "aspiring writer, teehee," to not denigrate themselves as "content creators" or to call their work mere "content" at all. To talk about themselves as artists, as writers, as making work that stands on its own.

This is the most wretched campaign of deliberate, explicit persecution the United States has perpetrated against a minority group in decades. Many of the most important people in politics and journalism are busying themselves trying to figure out how little to say or do about it.

Boozhoo Books is an Indigenous led imprint with Bindery Books, publishing exclusively Indigenous books. We are currently accepting submissions from agents and authors directly. We deserve to have our voices heard and our stories championed. Please share with you network.

The two big lifts here are: - To update my name, I need someone who has known me for 2 years to sponsor me in front of a licensed notary public. - To update my gender, I need a letter from my doctor stating I am the gender I say I am and intend to continue living as such šŸ™„

Iā€™m @ $218/$1K as of this repost, and Iā€™m thankful for every cent! The sooner I can meet this goal, the more of this weekend I can spend focusing on my boys. I will update if/when I get any booking invoices paid. Please keep spreading the word and help if you can ā¤ļø

The editor has been digging herself into a deeper and deeper racist hole so I'm gonna name and shame: this is Graveside Press + she's now trying to claim that Indigenous beliefs are... Folklore instead of mythology, I think? This is all happening on Threads. TW for anti-Indigenous racism like WHOA

Defending accepting "w******go" stories to a cryptid anthology with "we don't want to push out indigenous authors" has got to be the glibbest "I don't know anything about this and I'm not going to try" I've heard in a while. They're NOT FUCKING CRYPTIDS.

This is a great idea. I won't buy ANYTHING on Feb. 28. Anyone else in? šŸ‘‡

This thread is one year old today, and, unfortunately, it is even more important to be reading and preserving trans stories than when it started. I truly thank everyone who has contributed to it, everyone who has kept sharing it, and everyone who has made a point to buy books from these authors. šŸ§µ

Thanks @yahoofinance.com for talking #TeslaTakedown!

*seething* the transmisogyny on Tumblr has me ready to fucking BITE taking a pot shot at my girlfriend who I literally just mentioned existing, instead of me, the person speaking, is so. Like that's just on the fucking nose. A nose which I am going to break.

I mean it with all sincerity when I say that comments and reviews have kept me going. It's been a fifteen-year slog since first publishing my novel's first edition and there have been many depressive lulls of quiet. Letting someone know your work has touched them is vital to keep motivation alive.

If Hades is a game that made you feel seen and represented, it's because of the hard work of the people who contributed their talents. Now we have an opportunity to repay that. Please tell Supergiant that you support striking workers.
