"But it's important we're in that room! We need access! We need to be there to push back!"
Great, feel free to show us all that you're not just window dressing legitimizing a fascist show trial.

Yes @cwarzel.bsky.social
News orgs need to shift gears and become pro-democracy.

@sulliview.bsky.social asked how local news covered it. They did the same shitty job as the national news did.
Reason #1 is the most likely: liberals doing stuff is just not that interesting. But Tea Party and MAGA rallies were just RWers doing stuff. Coverage was wall to wall for MONTHS.

Next protest should start at CBC offices on Sparks just like US protesters have started to do outside news outlets that refuse to cover stories of protests.
That **omission** supports a dangerous narrative that people are not protesting and there IS a mandate for this tyranny.

Perhaps @ericlipton.nytimes.com it’s time to evolve your thinking about this moment.
A fascist movement allied w/oligarchs have hijacked the machinery of democracy and our government. They seek to destroy our pluralistic democracy, government function and the common good.
Then this makes sense.

Perfectly pure projection. Will the @nytimes.com bury it on A17 as usual?

Since the Trump admin Signal story broke, national security experts have called it the most egregious breach of classified information they’ve ever seen. It demands urgent accountability, resignations, and investigations.
Give it the scale of reporting it deserves.

“Unwanted”? Pretty sure unfollow is free. Fwiw I’m a paying @inquirer.com subscriber, many people pay for journalism. Maybe you offer to buy a few subscriptions for folks on here who can’t afford one? PS check this out @mediaanddemocracy.bsky.social www.mediaanddemocracyproject.org/journalism-d...

Without Murdoch's media machine, and the right-wing radio mediasphere to push and cover for his lies, trump would not exist. He and his media killed the truth, honor, American leadership and our quest for a democratic world order. He has been captured by a foreign actor/promoted by a foreign actor.

I don't see anything in the Times or the Post. The latter of which is, you know, the hometown newspaper of the place where the protest happened.
