It’s been 30 years since I arrived in America. As a 12 year old refugee, I could have never imagined I would have the opportunity to represent the community that welcomed me with open arms 🥰. I'll be forever grateful for the American people who gave me and my family a second chance at life.

A reminder that one sure-fire way to push back against the sea of hopelessness and horror is to find a cause you can contribute to with your time and/or resources, if that’s an option for you. Personally I find it’s most beneficial when it’s something hands-on and in my own neighborhood or city.
