Thank you for your compassion. I'm truly curious about the letting them thing from this perspective. It's like because I just let things go, they got bigger and without me standing up for myself I lost a lot and I really am wondering these days what the right path is there

Similar experience, add narc abuse from multiple sources at once that skew and twist narratives about who you are while you're trying to heal, then add a community of people that took on the lies and distortions. Then add people believing the lie and trying to destroy you for it. Twas wild

There's a lot of projected assumption in that response. We all have different paths. I was just hoping for open discourse.The opinions don't matter to me. I also don't need to explain myself if I'm not being heard. Was just hoping for some shared wisdom from the experience.

Lately I've been considering how letting them actually just let them control the narrative and almost overpower me with the negative energy I LET them project without standing up for myself or even trying to set the story straight. Just to offer that perspective. I let them my whole life.
