I mean, he’s played decent amount of minutes this season and the last. For sure you can chalk it down to a one time no injury purple path, but then you can also equally say coach did well.

Yeah all of that is true but unfortunately, this has been worse than what it should be and not all of it can be summed up by a pithy “shit players, injured squad”.
Now it’s at a stage where if next season he has a similar start as ETH’s second one, he’s already fighting for his life in September.

I do not disagree, but from what I understand his position to be, I can also understand it as a view to hold.
It’s his job to make it real. But right now, he can hold it, though it’s getting riskier for him.

I think his idea seems to be that changing(compromising, in his pov) the system to maximise the chances of winning provides most benefit in the cups.
Stick to his guns in the league and those that can play, they survive and those that can’t, it’s clearly visible and they go, now or in the summer.
