A hero who stands for what is right and just and noble is a worthy successor to any hero's legacy.

“Spider-Man" has never been the mask or the powers. Spider-Man is the man underneath. He's the person we all could be when others need our help. We can't save the whole world, but we can help others day in and out. That's what it means to be Spider-Man. And to be human. 4/4

Here he can't reject it anymore. Someone needs help. So without powers, he steps up and saves a child. She even helps him in return. Together they make it through. Sadly, he couldn't save everyone. But for one family, he made a world of difference. No mask or powers needed. 3/4

It's at this point where Peter has been let down, where "Spider-Man" has actively made his life worse and he just can't win. He's not only given up, but even his powers won't manifest because of a mental block. He doesn't want the responsibility. He's avoiding it. 2/4

Somewhere out there a Netflix executive has pitched a whole origin series about the history of this car that leads right to this moment in the final episode.

Fun fact, Mary Jane was the designer of the Hornet, Prodigy, and Ricochet costumes in the comics.

I won’t presume to speak on his behalf.
Though I am disappointed Lowe never followed up on his promise to talk about the Kamala controversy. I sure haven’t forgotten.

It’s alright. “Spider-Fam” is the name of our whole Discord community that I rep. More of a group account thing.

Fair enough.
I truly believe in comics as a medium at the forefront of inclusivity and tackling social issues head-on. Would love to hear your thoughts, perhaps under more structured circumstances.
And thanks again for “New Warriors”. Just bagged up a few classic issues this weekend.

Whatever transpires, just remember to be polite and thoughtful in your feedback, folks, and let them know where you want your dollars to go.

I’m hardly a young’un. I got my start with Gwen.
I think most legit criticisms of modern ASM have little to do with MJ (I’m aware of my current pfp). But I’ve also spoken with many readers - particularly women - frustrated with how she’s been handled.
I’d at least entertain a mature discussion.

Peter's bad luck should be the everyday, ordinary bad luck we all deal with, not some extraordinary cosmic balancing act where the universe will fall apart if anything good ever happens to him.

I have nothing but a powerful love for Sal’s transcendent art and awe at his mastery of the craft. Thank you to you both, and a very happy birthday to Mr. Buscema!

Hello Jody!
Huge fan of your Spidey work! I run a Spider-Man community Discord and we just had the good fortune of hearing from Mr. Conway on some of his Spidey history. Would you be interested in sharing some of your insights with our group? Either way, thank you for Renew Your Vows! Sheer delight!

The idea of a reboot is coming up more and more frequently (CBR did an editorial this week).
The issue is time is still moving forward regardless. Peter met Harry in college, Harry got married, had a kid, and Normie is 10 years old. Eddie has a preteen son. Etc.
Peter is being left behind.

Stan also said he didn’t always agree with the “illusion of change”, especially once the illusion wore off, which is why he was one of the most vocal proponents of Peter getting married and tackling new responsibilities with a family.

I have my biases, but I think you nailed it and gave voice to the frustrations that many have with the main Spider-Man books.
This is born out of a genuine love and desire for the characters to be their best, with the best stories, and even best business practices in mind.
Let’s keep pushing.
