The most beautiful of all songs;
lovely to hear, sadly they don't live this far north.

Sadly, or do I mean gladly, my whistles only seem to attract Blackbirds and Starlings - 15 to 2 this morning. My neighbour complains I'm stealing all her birds, however. I'm not, by the way.

I'm pleased to see you got here before the crowd.
Given the Church's ability to elect God's representative on earth, I suspect any .....Oh!, but that misses the point.
The Importance of Being Earnest comes to mind: the Reverend Chasuble.

Absolutely: excellent and delicious in an omelette, too, or made into a sauce. We cultivate it in the garden.

Now we know that's not quite true, Bert; credit where credit is due. It takes a lot of time to get them all lined up.

Good to see you on Bluesky! It's a saner world than Twitter, and it's growing.

It's the way: 150 Golden Plover over yesterday, flying ahead of a hail storm, hardly a chance to enjoy them before the stones struck.

Nice shots: I am fortunate to have two pairs of Dunnocks in the garden. I consider the time I spend watching them well spent!

Yes, they are dreadful. I suggest a brown spelt cucumber, red pepper, tomato, and marmite sandwich.

Not if his neck will feel as bad as mine would after doing that! I rather admire her apparent indifference.

Have you found out about the bird feed you can join to post to birders nationally and internationally?

Every day,now a female Blackbird sits on the step at the kitchen door awaiting currants. We whistle at one another. She is joined once currants have been dispensed by up to 14 other birds who squabble. She reappears regularly during the day if she sees anyone in the kitchen. In summer, she comes in.

Interesting: Kites are very infrequent, Marsh Harriers very regular.

Lovely things! My first visit to Boston a pair of House Sparrows was my introduction to US birds! Soon, I got into the native species though!
