Reclaiming a phrase that someone used to try to diminish your contributions to our city -- I love it

Brockman would make a decent cape, too

Thinking about how to communicate to our neighborhood that current zoning has not stopped properties flipping to student rentals. I like how you point out that a lot of nearby SFH sales have been basically investment properties for wealthy parents whose kids only stay a few years.

I should've written this differently. To be clearer: sarcasm.

To be fair, it was more diverse than just Lower Burns Park residents. There were also North Burns Park residents.

I am very concerned about this. When it's time to approve a comprehensive plan that allows gentle density in ALL neighborhoods, there is going to be very loud and well-resourced opposition. #A2Council CMs need to be prepared.

What a journey it's been. (Not that it's over.)

The Library Green Conservancy person spoke at the end of the meeting and is concerned about "vertical construction" in the new proposal.
They simply do not like tall buildings and that's always been their motivation.

But the eventual design better be actually safer and be based on Vision Zero principles. At some point, the City needs to do the right thing, even if neighbors object. Sorry, but it isn't your property.

Being able to edit my reply on Bluesky also seems like a no-brainer, yet here we are! 🙃

We could use some routes that don't just have to originated and end at the BTC, like Washtenaw-Stadium-Maple

You can always count on Damn Arbor when you need a Kowloon City density calculator

How important will 2025 votes on Trump nominees and bills be in 2029 when she is running for re-election? The world will have changed by then, possible several times. It's one thing for a House member to think this way, but Senators need to think longer term.

Somebody needs to put that back in the bike lane where it belongs.

I've considered posting an instructional YouTube video in our work Slack but I don't want to be that guy.

I would've been on that, but I needed a couple more minutes, so I rode my bike. Packard lanes are NOT clear this morning. Snow cover and some nasty ice chunks and sludge kicked to the side by traffic.

I don't remember where it came from. Maybe @a2councilmemes.bsky.social or @damnarbor.bsky.social or some other vaunted A2 institution.

I still have this soundtrack on CD. I was just the right age for this film.
