Breaking News: A federal judge has temporarily blocked President Trump’s crackdown on diversity programs, saying it violated freedom of speech protections.

when you've (already) lost Larry Kudlow ...

If someone wanted to destroy the United States from within, would they do anything differently than what Trump is doing right now?

President Trump vowed on the campaign trail to end New York’s congestion pricing plan, which aims to reduce traffic and pollution and help raise $15 billion for mass transit. He followed through on Wednesday by moving to revoke federal approval, but state leaders are fighting to keep it.

JUST IN: New York Gov. Hochul will not fire and remove NYC Mayor Eric Adams from office – for now. She will impose limits on his power, a source with direct knowledge told NBC News.

No, but if you’re looking for one, I am aware of a guy you work with that was indicted four times and convicted of thirty-four felonies.

"Key congressional Republicans have powers they’re choosing not to use... "Senator Susan Collins, for example, believes the White House and DOGE may be breaking the law. She doesn’t, however, seem eager to use her considerable influence..." www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

EXCLUSIVE: A federal worker at the EPA sent an incredible email to Administrator Lee Zeldin. He's refused to stay silent, and has asked me to share the email - and his name - with the public. My latest: www.muellershewrote.com/p/exclusive-...

If Patel’s confirmation scares you and you’re worried about the FBI being used to wage war and terrorize American citizens, just ask Black people for advice, they’ve been dealing with it for decades

Trump administration is planning to use polygraphs to assess federal employee loyalty. There are ways to manipulate polygraph results, and we will provide guidance to coalition members. Polygraph results are not admissible in court due to their potential for false positives and negatives.

The National Park Service fired many of its park rangers as part of a reduction in the federal work force. Some rangers decided it was worth the risk to speak out online about the cuts and share their love of the Park Service. “It’s scary, but it was the right thing to do.”

I created Democracy Docket in 2020 to help keep you informed on the fight for democracy in court. Five years later, it continues to be fearlessly independent and unapologetically pro-democracy. Support the work of its 19-person team: www.democracydocket.com/member-me/

“I realized a lifelong dream to work for the premier environmental protection organization in the world. An organization that mission was to protect the people like me, who used to play on the slag mounds behind Buckeye Steel. Standing amongst the best, I felt an immense pride in my achievements.”

I remember that, yeah.

This is what I was talking about last week.

Crockett: "Down in Alabama, who's broke. Down in Louisiana, who's broke. I can go through pretty much the entire south and tell you that they're broke and rely on a lot of welfare from the government. To be perfectly honest, it is tax dollars from these big blue states...we're in the find out phase"

Timothy Snyder is an expert of modern authoritarianism.

A coalition of congressional Republicans from the New York area rebuked President Trump for cuts to a federal program that administers aid to emergency workers and others suffering from toxins related to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Civil rights organizations sued the Trump administration on Wednesday over a series of executive orders targeting diversity, equity and inclusion programs and gender discrimination protections.

BREAKING WAPO: Elon Musk's DOGE is seeking access to a heavily-guarded IRS system that includes detailed financial information about every taxpayer, business, and nonprofit in the country — sparking alarm within the tax agency. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

Are people finally waking up? The real fight isn’t about bathrooms or drag queens—it’s about who holds power & at whose expense. Culture war is just a distraction, keeping working people too busy fighting each other rather than noticing who’s actually robbing us blind: billionaires—not each other!

Musk is acting like he runs the U.S. government—but the Constitution does not allow an unelected super-president We’re taking him & DOGE to court to impose consequences I’ll discuss tonight at 6PM ET on @msnbc.com w/ @jonathancapehart.bsky.social

SNL50 is a wonderful nostalgia overload ❤️❤️❤️

At least six prosecutors have resigned over the DOJ order to dismiss corruption charges against New York Mayor Eric Adams. Rachel Maddow asks New York Gov. Kathy Hochul how she is feeling about the responsibility she has as the only person with the power to effectively fire Mayor Adams.

ATTN FEDERAL WORKERS: I’ll say this again: download all your SF-50s, performance evals, and your eOPF. Now. Print hard copies. And make sure you file an informal grievance with your supervisor within 15 days of any adverse action. Here is a template: www.muellershewrote.com/p/informal-g...

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges. This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

6. Beware of false attacks Bondi is an election denier. Patel has an enemies list. Trump has promised retribution. When a Trump foe is under investigation, be skeptical. When you read leaks against pro-democracy leaders, consider that it may be part of an effort to discredit their work.

In light of the news of @markzaidesq.bsky.social being targeted by Trump, I am reposting this. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/ther...

Federal judge temporarily blocks DOGE from accessing sensitive Treasury Department payment systems

New York leads multistate lawsuit to block DOGE from accessing Americans' personal data.

Big ups to @signal.org @meredithmeredith.bsky.social for allowing usernames instead of phone numbers last year (signal.org/blog/phone-n...). Washington basically runs on Signal right now and that one change has made reporting and whistleblowing way more private and secure.

"Vance had a chance to defend his OWN family, and he opted to defend the Indian-hating bigot instead. Where are the balls on these Republican men? ... Elon wants his DOGE kid who hates Indians back and Vance does his bidding... Do they castrate these guys at the door of the RNC?"

Costco, which has come out saying it supports DEI, will make no changes to its existing programs, AND pays workers a minimum of $30/hour, is up 15% YTD. Target, which announced it is ending all DEI programs and has a minimum wage of $15-$24/hour, is down over 4%. Keep voting with your wallet.

It's a coup.

We all need to be ready to do our part. With Bondi confirmed, it is about to begin. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/ther...

Federal workers set off a counteroffensive with a raft of new lawsuits that contend that President Trump and Elon Musk are breaking the law to ransack the FBI and other federal agencies.

A Montreal newspaper had a one word headline for Trump tariff game: STUPID Tonight 10pm @lastword.msnbc.com

Someone needs to tell Trump’s enablers that when this shitshow is over and the tribunals begin, he will have immunity but they won’t lol

Y’all are gonna have to be okay with some posts that don’t have to do with the coup. I post about cats and pop culture and astronomy and self care. It’s who I am. My mental health matters 🙏💙

Yes. Finally, some meaningful pushback against these constitutional outlaws. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/02...

Hoping that Trump fails is not a plan. We must develop and foster new movements, structures, tactics, platforms and leaders to oppose Trump and articulate a positive vision. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/buil...

Jasmine Crockett: "The problem is that Americans thought it was okay to take a full fledged criminal and make him the President of the US and then they want to act aghast when he does criminal things. Let me tell you, we have a thug in charge of the US and if we don't wake up we may not have a US"
