Tom Moloughney put the American EV to the test at three different DC fast chargers. The fastest station was not the most powerful. insideevs.com/news/751289/...

For everyone who, like me, has been demanding that members of Congress get out in front of the cameras and do all they can to stand up to the Musk coup, well - watch these powerful Democratic statements in front of USAID HQ. Passed on from @simonwdc.bsky.social open.substack.com/pub/simonwdc...

I don't know why Wired is doing the best reporting on Musk's bullshit (or why the big papers appear to be doing almost none), but we should reward good work where it happens. Subscribe to Wired!

These new tariffs may be the single most reckless thing an American President has ever done.

I made my first trip to the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa today. It was magic. I cried. Many highlights: Bob’s tiny cursive, the Blood on the Tracks notebooks, stunning archive footage, the abundant notes made on hotel stationery. I loved it and am looking forward to going back!

Grateful to Kerrigan for the endorsement. This election is ultimately a choice between change and more of the same. We'll breathe new life into the DNC with a permanent campaign that organizes everywhere and communicates year-round.

He mentioned this 8 times in his 16 minute speech. Chicago honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Image captured last night.

Mavis Staples on MLK: "For someone to be speaking for us, someone of his caliber and character, I was just totally ready to join forces with him. We all were.”

Sending gratitude to all the folks who served in the Biden Admin and dedicated years of their lives to making progress on climate action and environmental justice. I see you and appreciate you! Your work matters enormously and will continue to resonate. They may slow us down, but they can't stop us.

DAVID LYNCH giving his unique take on watching movies from a phone.

On the day of David Lynch’s death, @drewmagary.bsky.social’s kicker to his interview with Severance creator Dan Erickson hits especially hard.

Ominous.

Smiling Rock. I was going for a rock garden kinda photo & when I got home and pulled it up, I saw that big smile. Hang in there folks, sometimes things work out better than expected. 😎

ABC, NBC & CBS dedicated about 16 minutes of airtime last night to the California wildfires without once mentioning climate change. Since the news failed do it's job, here's a short summary of the role of climate change and wildfire risk: www.noaa.gov/noaa-wildfir...

These teenagers and young men — 95% of whom are Black, Latinx, or Filipino — earn between $2.20 and $4 per hour, plus an additional $1 an hour when they’re actively fighting fires, according to the DJJ. ⤵️

Big @theins.press investigation dropping tomorrow at 10 a.m. EST, with partner Der Spiegel.

This article is critical for Dems to know why we didn't win in '24. Some 19 mil. voters for Biden in 2020 (anti-MAGA voters) did not show up for Harris. Why? They didn't think Trump was dangerous in 2024. (I.E. this isn't a move to Republican policies/values) www.weekendreading.net/p/how-trump-...

I might suggest it is incumbent on every patriotic American to mention the insurrection + attempted coup frequently.
