The best thing about getting old is you realise how quickly everything passes. Sadly even the 'good' times, but people are incredibly resilient and have far more in common than different to each other and a tendency to cooperate. We will survive this series of mistakes and plow on to the next lot!

Encouraged by the same bought and paid for Press and vested interests (e.g. Daily Mail), there was a great deal of support for Fascism which was almost fashionable right up to the late 30's and Mosely was seen as the kind of Leader that would ensure Great Britains place in Europe's Fascist Future!

Resist but be smart. Solidarity and Visibility are so important Stand together,be seen to be saying 'No' anything else will be seen as acceptance. Aim for an undeniable 'Political Victory' such that the World can see that the majority of the American people do not support this unconstitutional coup

Equity is at the heart of the Welfare State. After generations of oppression and two world wars in 20 years the British Public knew this, picked themselves up from the wreckage and set up to establish equitable rights to Health,Education,Justice and Housing. Those who lived to be privileged hated it

This is a challenging time but it will pass. Fear is a very strong motivator but only for so long, eventually people will either give up or push back ,and it is very hard to 'build on'. Hope enables and grows with time. I'll still put my trust in the kindness of strangers,Its got me through 67 years

'P.P.P.P.P.P.' If Captain Bonespurs had ever learnt any real leadership skills he would know what that means! Stick then in a nice Hotel and send Trump the Bill!

That's where the 'Education and experience ' was useful. Of course those invested in the status quo know this and do all they can to make different mean dangerous and knowledge seems like arrogance! I believe people are far better led by hope than herded by fear. I'd be making jerky and a staff!

I lived in Glenfield then Coalville so I can agree ! Living and working with such a diverse community did have its challenges but I always found respect and genuine good intentions always appreciated and returned. The 1990's were a very good time to live in Leicester before greed and debt ran riot

He's obsessed with controlling but refuses to accept that public authority carries the obligation of public responsibility. It is hard to imagine that he hasn't been taught the value of this but like so many addicted to comforts of privilege he's come to believe it's not a trade it's his birth right

There has always been some who saw good fortune as being able to stay safe by the fire in the cave they were born in and there were always some who saw it as being able to gather enough to go see if the cave up the way was better! Experience and education should teach us that both ways have merit!

I moved to Leicester from North Essex! Couldn't have a greater contrast! Loved every minute, celebrated every 'Holiday,Carnival, etc that came our way.Loved the food, the people and the new things I learned about. Britain has been a diverse nation since the Romans. Leicester has its own 'Culture'!
