16. Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Where do I begin? Is this a perfect game? No, definitely not, but god it has touched my soul and my core in ways I didn't think were possible. The story, characters, gameplay, world, all are 10/10. One of my favorite games ever now. peak. Please play it, I beg of you.

Totally fair!! I’m definitely still more focused on KOF at the moment but Fatal fury is gonna get some love from me in the near future

And the characters are absolutely incredible, some of the moments between them have left me stunned, I’ve nearly cried at this game multiple times because of how good it is at these quiet moments between the characters. And apparently the best is yet to come. Play Xenoblade. Please.

Although I loved Art of Fighting 3 long before KOF XIII, I thank Guilewinquote for bringing my attention to that gem, it’s still such a cool game! HMU for matches specifically on Ryo’s birthday :)

15. Hotshot Racing.
An awesome love letter to SEGA's arcade racing legacy made by Sumo Digital, I really enjoy this one. I love the visuals, the feel of driving, and the variety of tracks and cars. Definitely worth checking out if you love the classic SEGA racers like Virtua Racing or Daytona USA.

14. Zero Gunner 2.
Not my favorite Shmup, but I really do like the omnidirectional aiming gimmick, the game has a solid difficulty curve, and while I think it could've done with one or two more ships to pick from, the options present are all fun. Yet another solid shmup to waste time with.

13. Banjo-Kazooie.
I’ve tried on several occasions to get into this game, but it never really clicked for me. Until now, where I realized I was the problem. I stopped treating the game like a snappy platformer, and more like an adventure. While it’s still not my favorite game, I had a ton of fun!

I can give you somewhat below average skill level and occasional decent aptitude 🫡

Banjo didn’t really click with me until I stopped playing it like it was a platformer (like Mario 64) and started treating it more like an adventure game with platforming elements, and once I did that I had a ton of fun!

Everytime I think of rhythm games now I just think that a new rhythm Heaven is next year…but I’m glad you’re expanding your music collection so much! It’s fun to have a ton of songs for different moods if you ask me xD

I'm not trying to say anyone who's upset at not getting a preorder is invalid, I'm just trying to alter some alternate perspective. Playing some of your backlog can really be satisfying, and you never know what games you'll fall in love with. So if Switch 2 isn't available, try what is, that's all.

12. Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected.
This was a neat side story. I enjoyed the extra character moments, the music was phenomenal, and I think repurposing unused content from the base game is cool. However, it's never really more than just a bonus, and it's nowhere near the base games level.

11. Rolling Thunder.
I decided to give this game a more serious try while doing some research for a potential future project, and it's a fine game but I have almost nothing to say about it. It's about as barebones as a run and gun arcade game can get. A fun little distraction, but not much else.

10. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2.
I got this game digitally on Switch after playing Pro Skater 2, and it's exactly what I wanted. I love being able to hop into a level, go for a high score or find secrets. The controls are great, the levels are fun, this is more of what I enjoyed from 2, all portably!

I trust the team behind this game, I was told going in that Xenoblade 2 takes its time to really get going and while I can’t wait to see it take the brakes off, I’m enjoying the more relaxed feel right now, I’m having a good time

Hell yeah!!! I have the game digitally on both switch and steam, I have a collectors edition physical copy and a standard physical copy, and I’m pretty sure in the future it’ll be a gift I give to anyone who likes video games as well xD

Honestly one of my favorite videos on your channel both for the dedication to the bit and also for being a really good analysis of the games positives and how despite its flaws it still deserves to be talked about.

9. Picross S: Genesis & Master System Edition.
Am I playing into my own gimmick? Yes I am, and this game serves as a great game to kill time while I listen to videos/podcasts. Only now I get to point at the screen and go "Hey I know that!". Great game for SEGA weirdos like me, I'm having fun.

8. Mario's Super Picross.
I tried this after finishing the GB title, and while I personally think the simplicity and larger visuals of the Game Boy outing lead to me preferring it to Super, this is still a Picross game, and it's still a ton of fun if you enjoy Picross, which I do. Good game.

7. Mario's Picross.
I tried this on a whim after it came to NSO, and what was meant to be a simple 10-15 minute diversion turned into an addiction spanning multiple days. I would just put on a podcast or video essay and zone out for hours clearing puzzle after puzzle. Absolute banger of a game.

If I ever replay MGS1 it'll definitely be through Twin Snakes! I think the PS1 original holds up shockingly well but I have just enough gripes with the gameplay to want to see if the changes click with me more. That won't be for a bit though, I have some other games to play before trying more MGS!

6. Metal Gear Solid.
I never expected this game to hook me. I was wrong. I had an amazing time for 99% of the game, the story is incredible, the game holds up super well for being the first of its kind, and while I have my issues with the gameplay, I respect and appreciate MGS 1 so much.

5. Ridge Racer Type 4.
This is the aforementioned "other Ridge Racer" I was referring to. Faster, tighter to control, and the vibes are just immaculate, I definitely need to look into where I can get that soundtrack because it was great. Far from my favorite racer, but a ton of fun nonetheless.

4. Ridge Racer 64.
I'm not going to say this game isn't fun, because it definitely is, I just don't think I'll ever have too much reason to go back to it over other racing games, including other Ridge Racers. Still, a neat game for sure.
