Before I looked closer I thought that was Luigi Mangione. Would have been way cooler.

Did they use AI to make the logo?
I guess it fits their education ranking being in the bottom 5 of 50 year after year.

It easily took me a decade to shake the last name designation. What a time.

I'll tell you what, people cupid shuffle a whole lot better than they macarena.
Band interrupts macarena with Blink 182. My favorite bar. 🤪

And the DJ follows that up with Macarena in case there's anyone even older that hasn't moved yet. 🤣

Cupid shuffle plays, they all start dancing like they've been doing it their whole lives. Perfect unison. Amazing really

Because 20 years before "get low" was 80's rap when these old people were in their 20's and it all makes sense again. Love Detroit, my people.

This gives me more hope. It looks like judges are guaranteed pay in the Constitution, but many services are not. The couple weeks of fees covers normal operation and afterward things start to go unfunded, furloughed or otherwise.

What about second flood? Floodsies? Flunch? Solve some problems, give Florida a nice deep bath.

They have a couple weeks they can limp along on fees they collect, but after that federal courts do stop during shutdowns. It hasn't happened often enough to hear about it.

fwiw, I don't endorse either move. It's gonna be a long shitty 4 years. :(

R's don't care either way, gov't shutdown is the plan. If they get it, they can hold it over Dems and ignore any negotiation for weeks. While the courts are shutdown, the felon admin isn't stopped. This is very much lose-lose territory. Passing it unexpectedly might be the least bad option.

Mute from post has been highly requested!
I've been using a greasemonkey script from @lauren1701.bsky.social that adds a block and mute button right at the top of each post that's a bit quicker to navigate. I know it adds clutter, but most of what I mute are unwanted nudity, and quickly.

Leftist voters are leftist voters. Celebrate and encourage each other so we can be stronger in every election. I'm a Bernie fan, I'm a Kamala fan, I'm a Warren fan, I'm a Biden fan.
I want Dems to win every election in every state. If Bernie is getting attention, that can be good for all of us.

Bernie has a broad populist following of leftist voters that are frequently criticized by mainstream Dems simply for their race and gender. That's the narrative anyway.
Amplifying Bernie drives divisive attitudes, that's why the media is highlighting him. They want you to be mad about it.

Three things Kamala lost
White guys. Is what it is, it's not getting better.
Pro-Palestine voters. Bigger voting bloc than she thought.
Voting machines. Probably hacked.
She wasn't nominated in a primary.
Bernie didn't beat her, only endorsed her.

Algorithms and machine learning aren't new. Usually when people want to avoid AI it's more about generative AI art and vapid chatbots that serve mild entertainment at enormously unsustainable energy costs.

A lot of golfers left the PGA for LIV because PGA was becoming too Maga for them. It's not like they had a lot of options.

Yet we've learned time and time and time again their voters -do-not-care- until they're personally impacted. If anything they'll celebrate the damage being done if they're told it hurts the people they don't like. The louder we yell, the more they cheer, and I don't know how to change that either.

Summer is gonna be wild. It's cold out in a lot of the country right now.
