hey i was just happy to see that my rss reader was picking up your feed correctly. silly cat is just extra

i would recommend adding those people you want to make sure aren't buried to a list. you can make any list into a feed so you could follow as many people as you like and still keep up without "living here"

hi! the early part of the video (about wanting to do manual feed curation) got me wondering if you ever got to check out cohost before it went under

maybe when city council members have the political willpower to put anything in place other than plastic flex bollards we'll see faster improvement

chanting in arabic is a "threat to public safety." interesting! they dont usually say what they mean so plainly

i think it is at least in part people still associating labels with suppression coming from other platforms. ive seen many artists panic over getting labels applied to their content even tho it doesnt really do anything other than allow for user filtering

i think it would be helpful to have both flags mixed in. it is supposed to be a protest for unity after all. i don't agree, though, that having the american flag would compel fence sitters et al to join the fight. conservatives would just accuse protesters of "desecrating" the flag themselves

that was not "other people have it worse, shut up." that was "when people tell you how scared and hurt they are, don't tell them how little you care." you dont have to tell those of us most affected that you dont care! its ok to just move on!

he "won the popular vote" with exceptionally low voter turnout. why are you so bent on condemning the entire americas for the actions of a minority of u.s. americans?
comment in response to

if you actually want to care? fill your life with people + things you love, and let that love bolster you. if not? you do not need to broadcast your lack of empathy to the people who are scared for themselves and their loved ones. you can move on without telling us how you dont care.

unfortunately i do not have the privilege of becoming numb to it. millions of people across north and south america do not.

weird to experience "outrage fatigue" about trans people and brown people being targeted for removal. i hope for your sake AfD's current surge is only a passing fad.

even if every single thing he did got thrown out in the courts, he and his ilk are causing real harm in the mean time. and it can all happen again just the same if we get more fash in power since the u.s. gvt seems incapable of actually passing legislation, relying solely on flimsy exec orders

how does one even think oneself into this position. i genuinely do not understand how he could arrive here

insofar as i do have a personal brand it is replying to you and a couple of other people primarily with short quips or the occasional fun fact

one of many reasons i dont really post. i dont like how that rabbit hole makes me feel about social media and myself and instead of grappling with it 300 characters at a time i simply abdicate my relationship with social media more broadly

sorry, cohost shut down already

eh, i dunno. i feel like if somebody were going to attack a furry convention - with, say, chlorine gas as a random example - we would've seen it happen already

i genuinely think people just forgot how to do social media without an algorithm forcing random people into their feed all the time. like, it blew my mind how foreign the idea of tagging had become to some people when tumblr and twitter have been doing it for a decade

share culling isn't really what people mean when they talk about "The Algorithm." that's a qol thing, not a discoverability thing. it absolutely should've been an option on cohost tho

for sure, and its all complicated by the fact we dont know for certain what history will make of him anyway. to actually erase someone from history is, ultimately and unavoidably, an act of selfish hatred. i think it is more valuable to scorn someone's memory than erase it outright

in some ways i think occluding the "great men" could help illuminate those around them doing most of the work. why does james webb get a telescope? why does musk get to be the spacex guy? blot out the sun and the corona shines brighter

the asbestos youd encounter is different depending on where you are! different kinds are more abundant in different places - australia especially is LOADED with a certain kind that is pretty rare elsewhere (smth like 1% of all asbestos in the U.S.)
