Not there yet. Just lots of pix of the dogs who replaced the kids when they went off to college.

This is a PR/crisis communications failure and the whole industry is to be blamed.
The legal industry as a whole does not respect the BUSINESS of law. Lawyers routinely dismiss the C-Suite as “non-lawyers” and negate our business advice. This is a classic tale on a massive scale.

Have fun! Adore you. Will buy the book. But Joe lost me as a daily viewer when he bent the knee.

And why are they not correcting the disinformation? (rhetorical font)

"But the version of the “agreement” Karp emailed Paul Weiss employees Thursday night is substantially different from the version President Donald Trump posted online. The internal memo is different in several places, leaving out key pledges the White House claims the firm made."

Y'all should get her resume and start to circulate it. I'm sure someone in your network is looking for a smart, ethical associate with integrity and grit.

I know you’re afraid to say something. You don’t want to upset a client or a colleague. You don’t want to attract attention or become a target yourself. But lawyers and judges are the super heroes in this story. Don’t let someone else write your ending for you.
Shine bright my #lawyer friends.

We’re now seeing green card holders and tourists on visas being taken into custody. The government is setting it up to make protesting (our First Amendment right) a crime. What next? Who is next?

2/4 Then they came for Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and I said nothing because (I’m searching for a reason).
The #ruleoflaw is under attack. They want you to not take on cases, to not defend the rule of law.

"It is often said: When the government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. If that is true, then only weeks into Donald Trump’s four-year term, we are approaching tyranny." @marcelias.bsky.social

Don't forget all the LGBTQ+ pro bono clinics and all the other non-profits out there that depend on the pro bono hours.

I'm starting a list:
First they came for Covington and I said nothing because I am not a white shoe firm.
Then they came for Perkins and I said nothing because I do not represent the DNC
Who's next? We need the Amlaw 100 to stand up loudly and they are silent.

Lawyers are by nature risk adverse and have low resilience (see Dr. Larry Richard). They need support and evidence to be bold, make statements, take a stand.
Get a letter to the AmLaw 100 MPs to sign onto. It will quickly circulate to the NLJ 250 and down. They need a plan and cover to support.

They are coming after the lawyers. I’ll write on this later, but history is rhyming here, people.

It's so confusing out there right now regarding identity documents for the transgender community. LAMBDA Legal is posting resources to help you. #transgenderrights
