The stutter step of "Well, I am" before "we are the federal law." Which, in any case, still isn't true. #NoKings

Person at work keeps saying "hoover" instead of "hover" is making my snark-track go wild "yeah so if you could just hoover over ..." No. I cannot hoover. I might be able to Electrolux, and I could possibly be persuaded to Garfield or Polk, but I assure you I absolutely cannot, ever, Hoover.

I feel this often. Right now, the erosion of public health policies is leaving me speechless, even though I knew what to expect. Possibly *because* I knew what to expect. All I could manage was a soft whisper to the Universe as I made tea, "Freaking measles, man."

The measles vaccine was licensed in the US in 1963. Widespread vaccination in the 70s led to significant decline in cases. US was measles-free due to high vaccination rates in 2000. Globally reduced cases by over 99.9% saved millions of lives & prevented pneumonia, encephalitis, and death.
