Megadeth - The World Needs A Hero (2001)
Although I miss Friedman, this one's pretty solid and def a step up from Risk. I was a bit skeptical at first, but turns out the album has its own experimentation that happen to be absolutely awesome in Return to Hangar or Promises for example

Gojira - From Mars to Sirius (2005)
Tfw your country actually makes some very cool stuff. One of the best albums I've come across in terms of lyricism so far, especially the closing track. Proof that even extreme pieces of music can be absolutely gorgeous. I'll def give it some re-listens

Korn - Issues (1999)
I love it, Korn sure did take this project very seriously, it's a pleasure to listen to an album as good as the debut but with a more defined and evolved nu-metal sounding, making it excellent but in a different way than Self-titled's.

Deftones - Around the Fur (1997)
I recognize the effort put into the record, and the way it conveys anxiety from the cover to the lyrics/melodies, but I think it's an ok album. The biggest problem being, Chino Moreno is a good singer but a BAD rapper.
Be quiet and drive is 5/5 tho

Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas (1994)
Finally, I knew about the band and its morbid story for a while but never gave the music a try. And woah it's very good. Didn't expect the album to be that fast paced, but hey THE DRUMMING IS SO AMAZING.
Black metal might be my shit

Megadeth - Risk (1999)
Very confusing at first, it starts pretty well but afterwards I had to take some time to get used to the change from heavy metal to hard rock...
It was sure a risky bet, but I honestly think it's not as terrible as some people try to say.
I'll miss Friedman from now on 😞

Korn - Follow the Leader (1998)
Nice! Classic nu metal album here, they did a way better work compared to the previous release but it still doesn't overtop the self-titled. The rapping parts didn't feel too awkward overall and JD's scat is at its best🗣️

Korn - Life is Peachy (1996)
Ehh. Not their best release, honestly. It got some nice stuff, sure, but some of the tracks sounded too awkward for me. At least they never disappoint when it comes to the outro songs, that one was very dark too

Megadeth - Cryptic Writings (1997)
Kinda a mix of everything the band's made so far. Not their most polished release but it was still very enjoyable. I'm a bit sad to know this is the last album featuring Menza :(

Korn - Self-Titled (1994)
This album is hollow, anguished, a real depiction of childhood trauma. JD is known for his versatile vocals and they convey his anguish in such a way. The last track was the most depressing song I've ever listened to, and I didn't cry just a little. Huge respect for this

Megadeth - Youthanasia (1995)
Quite surprising. I kinda like the more heartfelt vibe. The album focuses more on inner and personal problems, which I didn't really expect from Megadeth. Last track feels like a reward after such a listening journey.
Also it was released on my birthday 🙃

Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction (1992)
A good transition from thrash to heavy metal. It still has its own unique vibe and it contains exactly what I love about this band so far. You really can't hate on Mustaine's vocals ‼️

Megadeth - Rust in Peace (1990)
I am not exaggerating. I've been obsessed with this for the past few days. This album is a demonstration of what the electric guitar can do best. Each track sounds so unique, Mustaine and Friedman's solos are crazy. Easily one of the best albums I've listened to.

Justice - Hyperdrama (2024)
Finally listening to something else than metal.
An amazing space-travel sounding album. I only knew the duo's first album and I think Hyperdrama's way better. Although I like some bits less than the rest, nothing feels off and everyone should try this experience

Megadeth - So Far, So Good... So What! (1988)
Might be wrong, but I feel like this one's a bit overhated? It's obviously not as great as Peace Sells but you can't ignore some great songs like Mary Jane or In My Darkest Hours
There's even a disstrack, nah fr i like this

Megadeth - Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? (1986)
Yeah ok, this one's very neat. The tracks are way more elaborated and I loved most of them and the stories and moods they tried to convey. Please don't mind my growing obsession over Mustaine :(

Ice Nine Kills - The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood (2021)
Good sequel to the previous INK album I've listened to, although slightly better only because THERE'S CORPSEGRINDER IN ONE OF THE TRACKS 🔥🔥🔥

Megadeth - Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! (1985)
My introduction to Megadeth. For a debut album, this is such a KILLER. Big fan of the really fast paced guitars and drums, I'm so upset I didn't know about Dave Mustaine's voice sooner bc his singing is so electrifying 😫

Fame on Fire - Welcome to the Chaos (2022)
Another metalcore album that I've tried tonight, this one doesn't really suit my liking in comparison. Hearing Ice Nine Kills again on the title track was a nice surprise nonetheless

Ice Nine Kills - The Silver Scream (2018)
Such a good metalcore record. I wasn't familiar with that band, I enjoy their horror movie themed music and lyricism. And oh my god some of these riffs and the VOCALS are truly top notch, they def know how to sound metal.

Even though the accuracy might be debatable at some point, one thing that's definitely accurate is the band members' portrayal as whiny edgelords

Lord of Chaos (2018)
As i've been diving into metal history for the past days, ofc I couldn't overlook Mayhem's morbid story
Nice biopic, although not perfect, I wish there were a bit more focus on Dead and his psyche as his portrait was a very interesting and saddening one.

Metallica's Black Album (1991)
I'd had vague memories of this album, and after listening to Metallica's 4 Thrash albums I think their transition to more classic heavy metal is pretty solid. They didn't lose their identity at all
Many bangers on this record, Kirk Hammett's the goat
