I don’t think it’s cowardice. Merz got rid of Trump bluntly, Macron brilliantly put Trump into the corner in the Oval Office, and the Brits play the good boy. It’s a good, coordinated psychological play to handle a mentally unstable Trump.

I understand the shock, frustration and outrage that Ukrainians feel now. But they need to be restrained for a little bit. Trump’s power is gonna explode soon. He is making so many enemies inside his own people and outside that this madness is unsustainable even for the short run.

I think there is no “majority” consensus. It was more like “WHO-consensus” driven by politics. The whole MAGA anti-WHO, anti-vaxx and anti-science shitstorm originates in the unscrupulous and ideological behaviour of a small group of scientists.

Orbán would always block Ukraine’s EU or NATO accession irrespective of Ukraine’s actions, whether it lets the Russian gas and oil flow or not. Orbán is betting on Russia, has built close business ties with Putin, becoming dependent on the lunatic tzar. Plus, he hates the West.
