It’s like someone run by multiple alien consciousnesses all at once, who can only perceive dimly out of Zuckerberg’s eyes, has thought, “yes, this is what humans look like.”

My favourite part “[…] certainly not the ecocide-plagiarism machines popularly called generative AI, digital vultures bloated on stolen books which they churn together and vomit out in imitations of words from actual thinking, feeling brains […]”

I find it hard to work across from the person who gave me Covid last year and from which I am still suffering the effects.
So in my case, I have 0 trust and respect for the leadership team in my company when they say they prefer us to come into the office.
They don’t care if we live or die.

If democracies are going to survive, they need to go to war with social media and the tech oligarchs who oversee it. We cannot have a society governed by mass hallucination.

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?
All is well.

I’ve already had to watch a shocked pigeon that had been so spooked it fell out of the tree and just stood in the middle of the pavement. Took about 10 minutes for it to start moving again and fly off!

“Reader Come Home” talks about this loss of reading skill. But it can be developed again! I started making more time for reading books and my usual fluency and ease came back.
