THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at Stanford Medicine have devised an influenza vaccine that prompts immunity to ALL four major flu subtypes AND shows potential against bird flu, indicating a significant advancement in flu prevention and a potential increase in vaccine efficacy. Let’s talk about that! 🧪🧵⬇️

(I may seem overly cautious, but there have been a *lot* of scandals involving peer-reviewed papers that turned out to be 100% bogus in recent years.)
"It's a matter of Principle"
Does this mean that updated influenza vaccines will be unnecessary?
we've really came a long way since the pandemic eh?
GOP loves birds.
By the by, have you ever read the short story ‘The Coffin Cure”?
It would be nice to provide a vaccine for the animals and birds affected too.
I don’t pretend to understand it all, but the information I did understand was exciting news and I’m guessing may help to open pathways of research elsewhere as well.
A good friend, same age as me (57), otherwise healthy, caught flu a year ago and passed away after being in critical care for 10 months. People don’t realize how dangerous flu is.
And can #bluesky also come up with a way to save posts so we don't have to dig for important conversation threads, please?
That's the only thing I miss from that other place. 😆
4 chemtrails in one!
😆
And will be available to everyone not stuck between Mexico and Canada soon, eh?
If it works we may never have a flu season again.
An all-encompassing flu vaccine will likely take longer, of course, but the rails have been greased i the past.
I'll keep my fingers crossed, but with skepticism.
Hope these succeed in humans, and ideally in other mammals as well.
On one hand: immune cells work seamlessly to identify a threat and destroy it
On the other hand: sometimes B-cells are picky eaters, and have to be forced to process antigens like a dog with peanut butter
Signs of ....I want to say hope
But the downside is vaccine deniers still T.T
But this is definitely a step forward
Natural selection

Great news.
COVID absolutely changed my life. I lost one of the most dearest persons to my heart to COVID so this would mean a lot to me.
I'm honestly glad accounts like this can present themselves honestly while also posting info like this

Spread the word and call them and let them know.
the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) - is not a government agency ... so standards for immunizations should not be undone anytime soon.
On a side note every time i see one of these posts Clemet from pokemon X and Y pops in my head
