I don’t get what he thought all these “niche little” programs they were so quick to highlight as wasteful & all these “useless”government workers effect people’s lives, health, & safety you start messing with that & you have to anticipate backlash it just shows how uninformed all of these people are

Man, why is everything they do awful to the point of cruel to the most vulnerable in our society?

Cool, cool. So a disease effectively eradicated in America makes a resurgence because social media provided platforms for liars then took no responsibility for policing that forum and in fact allowed their algorithms to boost anti vax content. We live in the stupidest of times.

I don’t take anything these R senators say with any seriousness. They had the chance to prevent all of this with the second impeachment and chose to put their own self interest over the good of the nation by voting to acquit. They bear as much responsibility as anyone. A pox on all their houses.

No shade thrown and European countries have to feel safe, but history tends to show that when continental Europe arms itself wars quickly follow, it was one of the underpinning theories of the American security guarantee following WW2

Ah yes, because if the history of continental Europe has taught us anything, it’s that the major powers in Europe arming themselves to the teeth never ends poorly.

Let’s remember that the entire underpinning of the post WWII order in Europe was intended to keep European countries from heavily arming themselves. Historically, every time they do this at an industrial scale they drag the whole world into a war.

Like vaccines, public health has become a victim of its own success. We’ve lived so long with the stability dividend that we forgot what the world was like before public health programs kept our teeth from falling out and prevented “miracle cure”salesmen from poisoning us.

These people never believe that the leopard will eat their face! They also missed that most of the Paul Ryan republicans are gone from the Trump admin, that’s not what his party is now.

Dis/mis-information winning the war on information. Again, I’ll just say that vaccines are victims of their own success.

Vaccines have been victims of their own success. They’ve been so successful that we, as a society, have forgotten the ravages that endemic diseases inflects upon society, most especially our children.
