I think the hardest thing is that as you progress as a writer, you look back, see all the mistakes you've made & they stand out to you like a red sore. But you need to be understand that: 1. most everyone else doesn't see them or see them as big 2. seeing past mistakes means you've IMPROVED.

I don't say my book is #fantasy because elemental magic exists in the setting. (It's "seen" twice in the entire book) It's really a fantasy novel because corrupt public officials are held accountable for their crimes and the most popular religion endorses a diversity of ideas and views.
