Collapse isn’t one big Hollywood-style event. It’s the NHS struggling, shelves emptying, power outages, heatwaves, flooding, refugees, and governments quietly militarising.
It’s already happening.

Science Progress (2023) didn’t sugarcoat it either. They said plainly: the root cause is us- our lifestyles, our politics, our economic models. We’re living in psychological overshoot. Our way of life itself is collapsing.

In 2021, leading scientists in PNAS warned explicitly about a “ghastly future”- massive biodiversity loss, collapsing ecosystems, and leaders doing absolutely nothing meaningful. We were warned, clearly.

In 2025, King’s College London warned the UK gov: extreme wealth inequality, climate chaos & failing infrastructure could cause societal breakdown here within 10yrs. They literally said we’re on a collapse trajectory right now.

In 2014, Melbourne Uni double-checked MIT’s work with real-world evidence. The results matched again: our society’s foundations- food, energy, economy- start to crack around 2040.

In the '70s, MIT scientists built a model to see how long humanity could keep growing on a finite planet. It showed collapse starting around 2040 if we kept on as usual.
Decades later, real-world data still tracks exactly to their projection.
