It was great story. I had it in one of the Blue Ribbon Digests as a kid.

Very nice job but I do think your Mario looks like he's been dieting! Maybe you started to draw Mickey and then decided to change the head to Mario? Mario should be heavier than Mickey. Keep it up!

Life is clearance. Seems like an apt metaphor!

3000 is the highest I've ever had it and that gave me a headache. Supposedly, anywhere above 2000 starts to affect your thinking. If it ever did to me at that level I couldn't tell.

I have one of these on my desk because I usually heat the room with its gas fireplace. About 1000 ppm is normal, it's usually around 1800 by the time the room warms up and I turn the fireplace off somewhere between 2000 and 2500. By the time you get to 2500 you can definitely taste the difference!

You left out the couscous!

I can taste that terrible stale candy now but these made great companions to the Super Powers mini-comics!

No points for hanging on to it, massive points for being able to find it!

Just watched it tonight, and I agree with your review here. It wasn't unwatchable but it also wasn't very good and feels like a failed pilot. Felt much more generic sci-fi than Star Trek. Wouldn't recommend but it's not as bad as some of the reviews.

Do it! The magazine and tabloid you get are both amazing!

That b&w Superman cover he did (422? It was right before the Alan Moore 2-parter) was spectacular also. Had it hanging on my wall in the late 80s.

Star needs an omnibus! That would probably be one hell of a set of rights to assemble though.

That's a top level multilayered joke there. 1. Prices will go up and the market will crash, 2. Comics publishers are making a giant parachute full of money and 3. Comics publishers are the Beagle Boys. Any one of those is funny but all of them together? 10/10!

I hate it when that happens.

1996 me would have asked you out and then 2000 me would have asked you if we could get back together just to see the Big Star show!

I had this one! Oh man, I miss it so. Even better than Billy and Blaze books.

Revenge of the Ninja was always my favorite in this series though my brother liked it even more than I!

Cinemark had a $5 40th anniversary event for it last year and my wife and I went for a date night. Fantastic! I could still feel the awe of seeing it the time at a sleepover birthday party circa 1985. Probably one of the first movies I saw on VHS.

Thanks for the credits. My first thought was Mignola but it's about 10 years too early for him.

My favorite album of 1995 and probably one of my top 5 all time greats!

From memory, Emmet Otter came out just before Fraggle Rock. Both of which blew my mind as a grade schooler but they were HBO only so I didn't get to see them until they ran during one of the HBO free preview weekends. I used a cassette recorder to record Emmet in the days before we had a VCR!

Didn't know this one existed! I only have the Deadman reprints.

Finished the main story Monday. It's pretty good overall and definitely great at times. It definitely has the right flavor of an Indy movie. But it feels like it was padded out by about a third and there are stretches of tedium. A good editor could go in and really make it outstanding!

I had to count twice because it looked like both of those hands had six fingers and then I couldn't remember any six lingered Batman villains!

I wonder if this cover was inspired by the torch scene in First Blood?

It's a generational thing I think. I grew up using a film camera so it's ingrained on me to not waste shots. I will never be able to convince my unconscious mind that digital photos are basically free.

Just get Nebula. It has a ton of great stuff and is only like $25 a YEAR.

This was a very early date movie for me!
