i was using this list, which now that i inspect footnotes, is suspect: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of... you can find support for it in silicon valley, and even some foundations experimenting with it. yes i also question their commitment. and i think it’s a way to enable their destructive tech

all of these rich tech guys actually do support it, including gates. but i would not trust them to do a good job at it, and we still need to seek remunerations for the wealth that is being plundered by AI.

maybe the orgy scenes weren’t meant to be sexually transgressive? i found the whole movie to be like a dream. the surreality of the orgy scenes contributes to that. it really seems like a choice on the film makers part.

there was a time when indies could really compete, but the market is so saturated now, and that benefits the big companies with advertising budgets. indies are totally lost in the shuffle.
