Though this was a monologue, it was a great program.

I’m sort of fascinated by this Photoshop job.

This lack of focus, I think for fear of offending their corporate sponsors, makes the Dems appear unfocused and not tuned in to what the people are experiencing. And with Trump/Musk/DOGE holding an actual hatchet veto, no matter how votes go, they act like they are powerless. Grow a pair, please.

Everyone likes the idea of simple “answers” to complex issues.

Former Catholic here. Church sponsored sanctimony only goes so far. Though both sides could have behaved better, everyone should have showed up for Freedom of Speech. The best antidote for bad speech is more speech. Not easy but important.

My estimation is that Republicans are telling Trump/Musk/DOGE that if they cannot deliver legislation that helps their constituents, it could trigger a revolt. BUT I think an awful lot of damage is already done.

give a self-interested oligarch free reign to pick winners and losers in the budget. People understand that they have to kiss Musk's ring to get what they want, which brings us back to no taxation with representation. Difficult times.

So many people who are genuinely intelligent people expect Trump to be "the answer" much like D's did with Obama. And they view him compartmentalized from what he's doing right here in America. One can agree that we fund the wrong things sometimes without thinking that the only solution is to

He's a truth teller with a military perspective (not a criticism) and not as bombastic as Scott, who seems to have control issues.

I only know Johnson from his appearances on the Judge Napalitano You Tube show. Which for me is sometimes a hard watch....but these are the only people kind of talking about peace. So I watch. Militarism is a dangerous drug and we're still in its thrall.

Funding research was a great example of "the power of we", which apparently has been replaced by the cult of the oligarch in America.

Ralph Nader lists like 6 policy positions Dems could be taking right now that are broadly popular. I think Dems need to SHOW they care for the people through their policy actions. nader.org/2025/03/21/d...

I know that Dr. Osterholm is planning to write a critique of the COVID response but I remain flummoxed at how we were supposed to guard public health without trying some of the things we tried. Didn't everyone get tired of the way people were dying in the early phases? Or do they just disregard it?

Real life public health agencies have education and public information budgets that are a tiny fraction of any corporation's advertising budget. Was vividly demonstrated in the tobacco settlement and how those dollars got sucked into worthy BUT NON TOBACCO related budgets. Score tobacco industry.
