Me talking to my Senator’s staff: What is Eric Schmitt doing about the tariffs and the market plunge?
Staff: I’ll be happy to pass this along.
Me: Pass what along? I asked a question.
Staff: I’ll pass it along.
Me: A question? No, I want an answer.
Staff: Okay. Thanks. *hangs up*

My number? He never asked.
Am I a constituent? He never asked.
3 were voice mails, but I got through to one. He smugly told me he didn't speak for the Sen. and asked how driving was.
You’re remembering America
And the system automatically tracks your number
Someone sent the wrong form letter.
Senators (all Rs).
Eric Schmitt (Republican Party) is a member of the U.S. Senate from Missouri. He assumed office on January 3, 2023. His current term ends on January 3, 2029
#Vote
I call anyone who makes an ignorant comment
Lately I rib into the staffers a bit on “how can you work for such a horrible person that won’t help his/her constituents, is this what you wanted?”
If a # of registered voters = to 51% of the # of people who voted in the election that put someone in office signs a recall petition, snap election must occur within 45 days.
When we get back in power we have to put in a LOT more safeguards.
First, to get it through Congress and the president signs it during THAT Congress's 2 yrs (or they have to start over).
Then it has to be ratified by at least 37 US State legislatures before it becomes part of the Constitution.
Years of work. Many years.
😱👿
Tone it down a bit.
Tell him you need a man to explan it to you.
/s (In case that's needed - Keep up the good work, Jess )
His staff is the WORST.
Or “thoughts & prayers”
Geez
(plus, they just emailed back to tell me their stance which was their support of him "but thank you for your input")
Come join us :)
I suspect I will never get to speak with a real person but I'll call every day until the treason stops and the dictator removed.
Reading all the responses makes me wonder if they require office visits-a visual over a voice. Is it illegal to protest outside their homes?
GOP - how long can you keep this up?
Temporary privileges that can be withdrawn at any time."
Honestly, I think that is all they are allowed to say.
🙄🙄🙄
It’s an exercise in futility to be calling your representative, especially in a red state with a supermajority.
Their wants and needs will always supersede that of their constituents.
When I call Senator Schiff https://schiff.senate.gov , I'm lucky if the answering machine is even on. No has answered the phone since he took office. They most certainly answered the phone when he needed campaign money though
It was more of a blue state when I was a kid, growing up there!
At least, since i titled it "Ongoing Coup." he technically acknowledged it by using the same title in his response? So... he kinda listened?
Here is Republican Senator Jim Banks referring to a fired public servant as a "CLOWN".
Then when you ask for a written response, you get some form letter thanking you for your input that they will certainly keep in mind.....
