Years ago, a prep/military academy classmate of Trump’s said he was a bully, the person who’d, on a beach, kick down your sandcastle. He’s moved on to kicking down institutions, lives, hopes and dreams. Trade balance? Immigration? He doesn’t care about that stuff. He just wants to kick things over.

Okay … Reserving judgement, I’ll give Amazon the benefit of the doubt. Hiring theatrical movie 🍿 🎥 people is a good first step. Now, as the sports fans like to say, LFG!!

This is the same ignorant dipshit now recommending we let bird flu spread (so we can study surviving fowl). Experts responded that how allowing the virus millions more chances to mutate to being infectious to humans is a TERRIBLE IDEA. www.scientificamerican.com/article/rfk-...

Ben Garrison is a toxic rightwingnut. He’s been illustrating racist, sexist and antisemitic cartoons for years.

Tariffs are bad economic policy, yes. But this administration isn’t so much playing the tariff game as it’s playing the THREAT of tariffs game. And somebody is making some money on the side.

I didn’t mind. This Bond fan enjoyed her rendition. Singing is art and athleticism and is rarely perfect.

Yup. I’m sure I’m not the first person responding to your post by pointing out how a certain billionaire has recently been in the White House, wearing jeans, black T-shirt, black coat, sunglasses - and a cap - A CAP - in the Oval Office.

“Incelectric truck” is still my favorite.

Indeed. The term I heard a couple of weeks ago was Trump’s is a “Weekend At Bernie’s“ presidency. But hasn’t he always been more about the appearance sizzle than the accomplishment steak? Pretending to be a wrestler or a cook at McDonald’s or a firetruck driver?

Putin’s years-long plan to splinter NATO could bear its first fruit. Even in Western Europe - Hungary, Italy - are leaning toward Russia.

Although - per reporting elsewhere (Screen Daily) - Ms. William decided to retire well before the big news of last week, her views on the future of the franchise are, IMO, as valid as ever.

This was the 007 movie I watched last night (as I raised a Vesper to the Broccolis). I’ve a love/hate relationship with SPECTRE. It’s gorgeous to look at. But it trips over its inbred, soap operatic story and tedious final act. Blofeld should’ve escaped, setting HIM up to be the villain of NTTD.

I’d like to suggest a “wait and see” attitude but that’s like hoping for the best with the Trump administration. No, I think this is truly the end of an era.

I suppose the good news is, we’ll get fresh Bond entertainment sooner rather than later. But as a proper movie in a movie theater? I’m hoping the brand is not diluted and cheapened with a “universe” of spinoffs a la MARVEL or STAR WARS.
