I think it's more that the right as a whole for a long time based its "ideology" on a commitment to free-markets, at a time when that wasn't universally accepted. But since it has been, it needs a new differentiator, a new USP, and has embraced nationalism. But this means always getting out-flanked

I enjoyed Jason Mohammed sarcastically saying "what a consolation that is for them", before remembering they "don't do politics" on #finalscore

I mean we should have been destroyed. Only started playing once Bruno scored the free kick.
Would be furious if I was an Everton fan...

Ah it would have been soft, but equally I'd be furious if it was against us 🙊

I actually missed their second goal because I foolishly assumed the keeper had it done, and turned away.
There is a United fan in this pub who has a bet on Everton to win. He's worked out he could have been £2k up apparently using this "strategy" if he'd started when Amorim took over.

He's got Ugarte alongside him this time at least, in theory it should be better than last time out....

The only thing worse than being an actual KGB asset is unknowingly being a KGB asset.

I'm surprised at the revisionism suddenly on display here.
"decades of fairly rigid quality control"?? Come on, they had an *invisible car* ffs. And then of the more recent films, the quality has been patchy at best.

Your delivery time has been updated. This is due to our invisible van being hit by a car.

He's a set character? He's been wildly different each time a different actor has played him, veering from an unserious joker to a traumatised killer.
The only constant has been the pre-#metoo womanising, the drinking and the gadgets.
Time to really modernise (they tried a bit) and mix things up.

Also, people are dunking on Amazon but streaming does not necessarily equate to *bad*.
There's been some good stuff like The Boys, Fallout and S2 of Rings of Power, plus I'm sure plenty of others I've not seen (Man In The High Castle etc).
Even Disney managed to do Andor!

Someone should really make a film of The Beast by Alexander Starritt.

For the sake of completeness, the last one was alright, I thought Quantum of Solace was really good (but seem to be the only person in the world who did), Goldeneye was good obvs, and I liked the Dalton ones.

Different leads would also put a stop to tedious handwringing over who should play Bond, whether they have the right colour hair, whether they are the right gender, or the right ethnicity. So boring. MI6 wouldn't get very far with just 6ft white men...

I'm actually not fussed - most Bond films haven't been much good for a long time (cough, invisible car, cough). Would like to see a series where the main 'Bond' character rotates around after each story arc. There's not exactly a shortage of crises for them to use as plotlines.

There is similar hostility to overseas aid amongst some in the UK.
I think the calculation here was that it was too difficult to counter the anti-aid narratives without simultaneously giving ammunition to the critics, whose narrative was simpler and cut through more easily unfortunately.
