Guy who doesn’t even respond to the mothers of his children: reply to my email or you’re fired

This is the ultimate dick boss move from Musk - except he isn’t even the boss, he’s just a dick.

This was the moment, just over a month ago, when the ADL could've put an end to Republicans doing Nazi salutes. They didn't. They chose instead to provide cover by calling it "an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm." Now the sieg heil salute has been normalized. The ADL literally had ONE JOB.

Anyone anywhere think we need to spend $200 million on DHS ads???

Trump will finally have his seventh bankruptcy.

The past ten years has just been the same clutch of morons and apologists insisting that Trump would never cross that line and then shuffling along with him to insist that he would never cross that next one.

An observation: I’m reasonably sure the FBI’s only ever had Republican directors. @vermontgmg.bsky.social please correct me if I’m wrong

Another day (not) at the office. I was just thinking that I would love to see a daily/weekly golf tracker and here you are!

Unfortunately firings have continued at the National Nuclear Safety Administration. I’ve been contacted by an NNSA worker who was fired, then told her termination was paused, then told she was fired again. She says there were numerous others at NNSA treated the same way. These people keep us safe.

President Trump and Elon Musk's efforts to shrink the federal government have cut off all funding to pro-democracy and human rights groups abroad, giving China an opportunity to muscle in.

I appreciate everyone’s messages of support, I’m trying to get through all my mentions but as you can imagine, it’s been a bit of a busy day :) Remember - peaceful civil disobedience, and no kings, no tyrants. Not ever.

President Zelenskyy has been one of the greatest leaders of our time, guiding Ukraine through the darkest period of its recent history, rising up to Russia’s unwarranted aggression, being an inspiration to the Ukrainian people and ensuring that Ukraine’s voice is heard on the world stage.

Tyranny requires your fear, your silence, and your compliance. Democracy requires your courage.

Act as if no one is coming to save you.

This story can't be repeated enough. The GOP is lined up behind the guy who is so incompetent that his quasi-gov't agency did this. They're confirming his highly questionable nominees & hurting the American people. And "accidentally"? It was stupidity, not accident. www.nbcnews.com/politics/dog...

The Trump administration is weighing whether to destroy $500 million in stockpiled covid tests, @lenasun.bsky.social + Carolyn Johnson scoop. The effort comes after Trump rescinded a Biden executive order to ensure the nation would have ample covid tests on hand.

FBI cancels community outreach programs for seniors

Musk just posted a photo on X that supposedly showed migrants with axes and knives taking over a hospital, but the photo turned out to be a screen shot from the movie Dark Knight Rises.

Even worse incompetence: they accidentally fired, then apparently today un-fired, hundreds of the people who manage America's nuclear weapons.

Fact check: nearly 70 percent of US money for Ukraine actually went to US defense industry to replenish the stocks of OLD stuff that went to Ukraine to use. Much of which we would have paid to destroy as their lifespan expired.

None of this -- none of it -- could happen without the worms in the Senate, the belly wrigglers who can't find their feet to stand on.

Incompetence in Washington puts every American at risk, no matter how you voted. No one should be happy that the DOGE team - the same folks who randomly published classified U.S. security information online today - wants access to your bank account & Social Security numbers.

The abrupt terminations of more than 1,000 employees, including new Epidemic Intelligence Officers, across CDC are deeply disturbing. For more than 70 years, EIS officers have served on America’s front line as its disease detectives, ready at a moment’s notice to respond to emerging outbreaks.

NEW — In an alarming email last night reviewed by me, Coast Guard members learned that 1,135 members' direct deposit account routing information was compromised due to a data breach from unauthorized access. It was only discovered because an officer “reported anomalous activity” on their account.

I guess Thom Tillis is hoping none of his constituents read the NYT. But some of us still do. His cowardice and self-interest on full display.

The Republican budget cuts taxes for their billionaire donors, while cutting off Medicaid from older Americans in Nursing Homes. Every single Budget Committee Democrat voted against it. And now the battle moves to the House Floor.

Wow. The NYT reports that Acting Deputy AG Emil Bove coached Mayor Eric Adams' attorneys on what to argue in order to get the charges dismissed (namely, that the charges were interfering with the mayor's ability to cooperate with Trump's immigration crackdown): www.nytimes.com/2025/02/13/n...

Don't compare Trump to Neville Chamberlain. Chamberlain did not personally like the dictator he dealt with. Chamberlain did not staff his ministry with pro-dictator enthusiasts. Chamberlain was not helped into office in the first place by that dictator. From Churchill's eulogy:

I just received an email from Sen Thom Tillis @thomtillis.bsky.social saying that he voted for RFKJr because he wants a disruptor in HHS. I guess the brain worm guy will deliver on that. Tillis is up for reelection in 2026. Let’s check back in on his confirmation votes in about 15 months.

Folks: I am NOT affiliated with the group that is using my name to support an economic boycott. Please spread this post, if you would.

Grocery and gas prices are up, and Trump has done nothing to lower costs. www.reuters.com/markets/us/u...

NEW: GOP North Carolina State Supreme Court candidate Jefferson Griffin is in court trying to steal an election by retroactively changing voting rules. The case could set a dangerous precedent for future elections, argues @billycorriher.bsky.social.

New: Project 2025, which Russell Vought is the architect of, advocates for cutting NIH funding. But, it has been NIH-funded research that contributed to Vought’s own daughter having better treatment options for cystic fibrosis. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
