Dagnabit, I live right there in-between Scenario 1 and Scenario 2. I think that means I'll either be too far south for snow or too far north.

That feature is transforming my research, especially in seldom-indexed court minutes.

I look forward to seeing your trip report! TN cemetery law protects your right to visit, so don't be deterred by a sign.

If you are visiting a cemetery here in TN in summer, add to your dread all the chiggers that will find you. Oh, and the ticks. Oh, and the snakes. My great-grandmother wouldn't even go into a cemetery after the first spring thunder, because it "wakes up the snakes."

If you get a good 'hit' on a record where the name of interest is highlighted, see if that name is elsewhere on the page but not highlighted, and see how Full-Text Search read that name. Then use THAT spelling (whatever it is) in a new search. Handwriting recognition isn't perfect, yet awesome.

DNA says we are German, but I've not proven that. And I have DNA matches out of NE Ohio who say their immigrant is Irish.

My grandfather died the day before I turned 4. I have few memories of him. But his mother, my great-grandmother, lived until I was 23. I got to know him through her, and set out, as a teenager, to get to know the rest of my ancestors.
