I don't think that Tim has reflected on the idea of sovereignty.

It is interesting that the comments here are about the journey the other side of the channel, but not about the British regional connectivity.

How smooth will be the journey from Manchester, or Plymouth, or Newcastle to Paris, or Munich by train?

Wokeism is not part of my life. I’m 73 and it isn’t on my radar. What’s the problem?

Have they started employing ex-Daily Star headline writers. That's a cracker.

Why were the Conservative members so cruel and unpatriotic as to put someone so inadequate and unsuitable into such an important role?
comment in response to post
I voted Labour because I believed that the Conservatives were more bothered with "low tax nationalism", "anti-woke" posturing than they were about building communities and making things work. I believed that Keir Starmer's Labour would focus on boring detail. Faith is wavering, but still there.

Well said. We get silly, out of context, click-bait nonsense. If it feels daft after the whole thing, we know that we've got a silly devil ... and they'll probably win the next election.

I want to go back to 1965. It was colour television that ruined everything. Which party is going to ban it and bring back black and white only. They'd get my vote.

It's a fabulous headline. What's it from, the Daily Star?

Us and them. It’s always us and them. Us and them never results happiness - usually results in anger.

My advice would be to stop reading the Telegraph and start reading the New Testament.
