I’d rather we built a team to consistently compete than behave like Southampton or Brighton.

Goood spot. Blocked it, totally pointless account.

Why are people like you obsessed with putting all the best players into a few teams? Total disrespect and fucking annoying.
comment in response to post
Agreed, I was never that bothered when he left. Rather him than Gordon, which seemed to be the alternative.
comment in response to post
Same, also people were hysterical about every assist in pre-season games thinking he was going to be one of the players of the season. Hasn’t worked out that way and I reckon Murphy would be keeping him out if he’s stayed.
comment in response to post
Still looks the weak link against the better teams.
comment in response to post
He’s such a tit.
comment in response to post
If he’s going to leave, surely he’ll want to go to a club that wins things. 🤷‍♂️
comment in response to post
And the rest. They can’t afford him.
comment in response to post
Always happens in a game like that when they make loads of subs. We could have all gone home after 60 mins.
comment in response to post
We’ve been saying this for a while as the gap grows bigger. Win the next 4 puts things back on track.
comment in response to post
I’m pleased he went, it’s all gone very well for him since. Have a nice life.

Just had a Quick Look and the Independent says £10m, found another where the Times says £5m. As I said earlier, no one knows but you want it to be £3m to suit your story
comment in response to post
You’ve no idea what he left for. BBC reckoned £10m in their story earlier. Brighton also put him on gardening leave when we offered him the job. Standard practice. Total waste of time for everyone now.
comment in response to post
We held him to the contract he was happy to sign. As Brighton do with us. Why would we just let him go? I presume his career is now severely damaged.
comment in response to post
Not just the money, you waited 5 months to appoint him. It’s all a bit weird. And no one knows the right amount, everyone seems to have something different. 🤷‍♂️
comment in response to post
Why did you go through so much crap to appoint him then? Thats what you should be questioning. Someone’s judgement is clearly bollocks. And they’re still at your club. 🤷‍♂️
comment in response to post
As a Newcastle fan, I’m delighted.
comment in response to post
You’re clutching at a few straws here mind.
comment in response to post
I don’t think it’s a head loss to be so concerned why we’re no where near the level we were 2 seasons ago. Can you explain it?
comment in response to post
A better question would have been why did they buy him if they can’t fit him in the team. Strapped for cash yet we’ve spent £100m on Tonali and Barnes and sod all on a RW. 🤷‍♂️
comment in response to post
As a Newcastle fan, I particularly agree with point 2. 👍

If we don’t qualify for Europe the decision will probably be made for us.
comment in response to post
He wants to try coming back to Newcastle if he thinks he’s unwelcome at Liverpool.
comment in response to post
I think that’s my point, why did we buy him if we end up with Longstaff as a better option? The balance of our whole squad is odd. Multiple options on the left and none on the right. Our recruitment has been poor.
comment in response to post
It’s not, he just can’t work out how to use him. And if it is blind loyalty to good performances, Longstaff should be out next game.
comment in response to post
Been this way for years in my opinion. I find it laughable that people say they don’t want a new a new stadium as it’ll be soulless with no atmosphere. Take a look at what we’ve got. Ever home game we get away fans singing ‘Where’s your famous atmosphere’. 🙄
comment in response to post
Or since 1955 😱
comment in response to post
Totally. Not sure how much thought was put into the subs. Just hoying anyone on by the end.
comment in response to post
Needs to stop if Eddie’s going to be here long term.
comment in response to post
I think we have a right to be worried. Far too inconsistent. Similar to Brighton where we end up chasing the game having taken off our best chances to create something. Dreadful second half.
comment in response to post
The stadium is massively different from what it was when I first started going so I don’t care that much for it. As long as the city centre location is maintained I’m all for a new stadium.
comment in response to post
Met him once in Julies after he’d left us and was playing for Wolves. Smashing bloke 👍
comment in response to post
And Shearer never spat at any one (as far as we know).
comment in response to post
And me, I never even said anything 😂
comment in response to post
I can’t stand it. Fast forward to our game (if we win) and that’s it. Otherwise, never watch it.
comment in response to post
Of course 😂
comment in response to post
Don’t watch it 🤷‍♂️
comment in response to post
Difference between the Championship and the Premier league is massive.
comment in response to post
We can do both 🤷‍♂️
comment in response to post
Yes, location is key though.
comment in response to post
He’s contracted till 2028. They can’t afford him.
comment in response to post
Cracking finish. Remember it well 🤬
comment in response to post
I would be gutted to see him go but I think you’re right. And as he’s been here a while he probably deserves a move to a club playing regular CL.
