Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, bungled answers on Tuesday about habeas corpus, incorrectly saying that the legal right of people to challenge their detention by the government was actually the president’s “constitutional right” to deport people.

My latest piece is unsparing: Elon’s Humiliating Exile: ETTD Always Strikes. Always. Oh, and Elon…you’re in phase where Trump will publicly humiliate you. Enjoy! open.substack.com/pub/therickw...

More “woke” billboards, please…

Mayor Pete nails it! 👇👇 👇👇 #BlueCrew

They're arresting Members of Congress. Perhaps a sternly-worded letter is in order. Or, perhaps, it's time to play some damn hardball with the DOJ.

Do not compromise with the GOP. Dismantle the GOP.

I wouldn’t have watched even for you, Jim. But Michael is a far better man than I.

I know because I’m old enough to have been there when they adopted it.

"They'll never cut Social Security" is the new "they'll never overturn Roe v Wade."

Fuck you, Donald Trump. Fuck you.

One more time for the people in the back.

Update—Democrats: Forget the signs. Call out the truth. Get loud. Take a stand. They kicked your colleague Rep. Al Green out for making his voice heard. Meet the moment. They would & have done this to you. Why are you rolling over & playing dead?

Using a cane in this context is a particularly provocative/aggressive indicator of disagreement and anger. #BodyLanguage #BodyLanguageExpert #SOTU

What he said about Social Security payments has been repeatedly debunked - so the question isn’t whether he’s lying about this, the question is why. What is this a pretext for? He and the GOP have long shown interest in going after Social Security. What are they going to try?

I won’t vote to give tax breaks to billionaires.

Screw the signs. Be loud and get escorted out without resisting #GoodTrouble

"We have to take care of our law enforcement," says Trump, standing inside the building where law enforcement were brutally attacked by a mob of his supporters that he sent to the Capitol.

I agree with Donald Trump that an unelected bureaucrat should be fired. Let’s start with Elon Musk.

Lauren Boebert was removed from the chamber for attempting to Beetlejuice 91-year old Chuck Grassley.

This speech is boring as fuck.

Every Democrat that voted for Laken Riley Act to punish immigrants for the crime of one individual should hang their head in shame. No care for women who are dying due to overturning Roe v Wade, but go on. #StateOfTheUnion

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”  You have to look no further than the pedestal of Lady Liberty to see what defines America. That’s who we are.   This speech – and this President – is not who we are.

Great question! Can the media grow a backbone and ask Donald Trump to answer it?

Ski resorts, Yellowstone, Tesla dealerships….I haven’t seen mobs this angry since the Romans killed Caesar.

Sam Alito gave cities more leeway to dump raw sewage into our water supply by deploying a sleight of hand so clumsy that it would fail to impress a kindergarten class. This isn't statutory interpretation. It's a gut renovation of the Clean Water Act on behalf of polluters. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Excellent! Get loud!

Gather 'round, for today we witness the folly of Joe Exotic, who worshipped Trump—only to watch his own husband get yeeted by ICE.

If this is what “winning” looks like — we’re definitely getting tired of it.

Whether in our water, on its bench, or in the White House, the Supreme Court is a big fan of raw sewage.

Trumps desire to hurt Americans along with out allies makes NO sense. The only possible explanation is that Trump hates America and for reasons we cannot understand, he makes his decisions in order to please Putin

I'm down to my last avocado. Do I make guacamole? Or do I sell it and use the money to buy a lesser Picasso?

Don’t look away

Since this is apparently my purpose now: I'd like to apologize to the people of Canada on behalf of the real residents of the United States.

I'm looking forward to catching up LIVE with Stephen Colbert tonight. Feels like there will be plenty to discuss! Tune in to the Late Show at 11:35 pm ET.

Impeach this mofo.

I’m headed to a corn and soybean farm in Cannon Falls to hear about the impact of Trump’s tariffs on Minnesota farmers.   Farming is a tough job, and it certainly isn’t made any easier by two out-of-touch billionaires cutting off economic opportunities.

Justin Trudeau gave the exact kind of press conference today that we have been waiting for from our Democratic leaders. Watch it and learn from it. No gimmicks, no stunts, no script, no platitudes, no slogans, no games. Just straight talk, honesty, sincerity and facts.

Ten years ago, if someone told me that the United States would one day be an ally of Russia and fighting with Canada, I would have laughed. But I guess the laugh is on the USA for electing someone so petty, venal, and stupid.

A few weeks ago, I was assured by a Republican friend that the tariffs were merely a part of Trump’s negotiating genius and his strategy would bring everyone in the world to heel. How’s that working out?

Tonight Trump will address a coequal branch of government for which he has shown total contempt. Meanwhile my constituents are seeing their livelihoods destroyed by illegal actions. What he is doing is not normal, it is not acceptable, and I won't be attending. www.youtube.com/shorts/MlTIB...

a new dictatorship - the old playbook

Eating Canadian eggs with Canadian cheese, Canadian tomatoes, and a Mexican avocado, all washed down with a latte made from coffee beans from Costa Rico packaged by a Canadian company and, of course, Canadian milk. I admit I don't know where my chili flakes are from, because I get them bulk 🤔

VoteVets brought Veterans directly impacted by Trump & Musk’s cuts to meet with members of Congress. Many were fired, some lost healthcare—but they’re fighting back. Grateful to the lawmakers standing with them and pushing for accountability.
