This is just Noem with her usual cosplay performance-art-as-governance in lieu of knowing anything about governance. As a resident of South Dakota we are very glad to be rid of her. Even her successor GOP governor is talking about a “reset with the media” to normalize relations

Well, have you checked out the guy they picked at the top of the ticket?

They are more afraid of musk money in the primaries and Putin underling death threats than some angry ppl at their town halls.

He was running a con on her so that the illegitimate origin of the child wouldn’t be known to the public

This might be the rare time when we don’t want to cure cancer? Trump will be shouting this from the rooftops at every event that he “cured cancer” and use it to justify everything else he’s doing

Noem is really great at spending tax money on the dumbest ads possible. As gov of our state she built herself a tv studio in the capitol and then made ads like the “meth we’re on it”

I think this is obvious. What is “that”? Is the uncertainty

For the sake of everything I hold dear, I pray you are correct

This naïveté might apply to the Trumper politicos that are brand names, but it does not apply to the new cadre of billionaire techbro fascists that fully intend to reinvent society in their image
comment in response to post
Sure they are. What do you think the firings of the head of the military branches and chief JAG officers is about? They intend to quash American protest with military force the way Trump wished he could have done during the George Floyd protests

Unfortunately there’s probably countless examples of aging dictators being wheeled around. Heck we had a congresswomen in Tx recently that was serving in Congress while she was in the memory care unit

Is he a cray cray Trump appointee or a normie appointee?

😡 Why do these reports continue to not know the basic history of this? The agency is only “financially burdened” because in the first Bush jr term the GOP put an artificial requirement that their pension and health care for future retirees be fully funded in advance!

After integrating it, they could then use it to leverage any individual in the US. They can decide who has committed tax fraud, SSA fraud, etc unless you do what they want. It almost sounds like Putin’s dream plan.

I don’t think this is their goal or that they care about shaping news cycle material. Their goal is more insidious; they want to feed this raw data into their AI models which is highly valuable and sought after and would give their AI an advantage over their competitors. (1/2)

Sounds like he is wanting to get in the record that accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt

So, naturally, the two things you would not discuss in a criminal case: the elements of the charges, and the evidence supporting them.

Heck give it a couple of months and Trump may run a monthly contest for whoever can write the most slavishly pathetic latter praising him wins a federal job. That would really appeal to him.
comment in response to post
Well their only test is sycophancy to Trump, so if the right stooge reads this he might have something
comment in response to post
You have to ask why the GOP is so quiet? They have capitulated everything, our entire republic, to TrumpMuskCo. They are a wholly owned subsidiary of it. They weren’t even able to oppose obviously unqualified nominees for critical positions. Why are you counting on them to do the right thing?

People are focused on the disruption to these agencies and the work they do, and rightly so, but just the sheer mass of people leaving the labor force and the contractors/grantees not receiving funds is likely enough to cause an economic crash

I’m not sure it’s a flex. I think Elon and the techbros are confident they have unlocked the keys to human behavior and decision making and can just trigger Canada’s social media to flip their and Germany’s elections too. I’m sorry if this sounds doom and gloom.

It will be shocking when Lindsey Graham is outed…right…right? 🤷🏻‍♂️

The dynamic is very similar. In decimation, if the group fails to choose the 10% that will be killed, then everyone dies. Here if the group fails to choose who will sacrifice their integrity and honor, then the whole group will pay by termination

Turns out taking potshot wisecracks on 3 minute friendly Fox segments is not the same as giving important international foreign policy speeches
comment in response to post
No. “Dying” is sacrificing your honesty and integrity which is your most important asset as a prosecutor.

I think this tension got Vivek booted before day 1 of DOGE

This is Roman decimation, not the prisoner’s dilemma. If no one chooses who dies, everyone dies, that was the Roman rule: www.unrv.com/military/dec....

Second this. Much of the blame has gone to Garland, myself included. But if the roles had been reversed Trump would have told his AG “file the charges or I’ll find someone who can”

Can’t he just ask the solicitor generals office whose name is on the pleadings rather than yell for random answers on Xitter? (The answer is of course he can, but the point is intimidation)
