While I generally like Aqua more, for this one I’ll vote orange :)

Oh to be back again, enjoy it thoroughly!!

Honestly, not bad! I’m kind of liking the smaller size, and makes for a quick sketch. Going to cut some better paper than what it came with for the next one and see if I can get used to it more. Worse ways to spend a cold day.

Heck, I live here and I’ve canceled planned trips this year.

Yup, well made too! Has enough storage for half a dozen pieces of paper in the top half, I’ll probably take a small water brush with me rather then relying on the brush included though.

A giant middle finger to everyone who said “We can’t do “something”, think of what the republicans would do with that precedent!” Well, now we know exactly what they’ll do when you take the spineless route.

Everything I was told growing up we were against as a country.

Yup, I’ve stopped spending outside of essentials, and mostly focused on local stores where I can. Hard to justify anything else in this hellscape.

Couldn’t tell, and looks great regardless. The little “mistakes” just make it more personal and unique.

Deal. Hit me with your best, or worst, I’m easy.

Indeed and good luck!

Calibre with the DeDRM tools and kobo plugins to manage the collection, but had to download several hundred ebooks one by one initially. Well worth it though as the final step away from Amazon.

So glad I switched everything over to a kobo in November. Just another anti consumer move.

Only the essentials, period. Not just the 28th.

Blame? I’d be cheering them on. They’re doing more than our elected officials already.

The frustrating thing is we saw them engage millions of people for zoom calls, rallies, canvassing, and donations after the Harris nomination. Just absolute crickets now. They _could_ do something but are largely choosing to be silent and complicit.
comment in response to post
Boggles my mind that after Harris was nominated they could engage millions of people for calls, rallies, donations, canvassing, but when our country is being looted, the constitution burned, and in an absolute crisis? Crickets. Mildly worded statements.
comment in response to post
Exactly. And when they actually do something it’s to worry about the water damage that they might cause putting the fire out.
comment in response to post
If they’re not actively and publicly fighting with everything they have against the rapid destruction of our country, they are complicit. There is a time for nuance, it’s not while the house is on fire and people are throwing more gas on it.

Thank you :) I’m using photos from these trips as practice for sketching and watercolor most nights, looking forward to when this one pops up on the random rotation

Maybe, just maybe, you should start doing something about it instead of expecting it to just fix itself.

Oh fabulous!

Noodlers Walnut is another good one for that

Sadly I’m back home now, and it was warmer there!

Whales always help. Here’s “Toby”, since my suggestion of “Sir Twerks-a-lot” wasn’t taken.

I’m so tired of our “leadership” thinking norms and conventions have any meaning anymore. Huge part of why we’re in this nightmare.
comment in response to post
That’s just realism, and maybe a little knowledge of history.

Yup, protecting your mental health doesn’t mean you’re giving up.

Love it :)

Deleted news apps, in the process of deleting most social media outside of here, and putting my focus on creating instead of consuming this year. Spending time on painting, writing, photography and finding more local communities. Less tv, more reading.
comment in response to post
Sadly I think this is where I delete it anyways. Won’t be the same and it feels like they’ve just capitulated, so it’ll be largely worthless now.
comment in response to post
And that’s where I’ll delete TikTok. Maybe now anyways if they’re going to kiss the ring at all.

It’s pretty relaxing right now

Sadly no :( downside of packing light is just couldn’t fit it in, would have had to check a bag instead of going carry on. It’s on my coffee table though!

Accurate. Deleted fb last night and insta shortly.
comment in response to post
Yeah, just finished deleting facebook, insta’s next :)

Sounds about right.

I’d say abandonment. Tired of the sanewashing and their inability to hold people accountable for the blatant lies and misinformation they spread. They’re not able or willing to handle people acting in bad faith, and have lost what trust was remaining in them.
