There are a handful of Dems that I can think of who actually fight. Who are other Dems that you think are saying the right things? P.S. I don’t think AOC is on media b/c of her looks. She knows how to talk to ppl where they’re at like Bernie, Katie Porter, Maxwell Frost

Crockett is killing it in the media & in congress. She makes C-SPAN must-watch-TV.

I wld argue media is a big part of the problem but DEMs do little to give media to talk about. REP make the media talk abt them with bold & crazy moves. Hence why AOC is on media more often & where ppl actually watch her. Force the media to talk about these issues.

His other businesses are tied to Tesla. He used Telsa shares to buy Twitter. If Tesla is hurt it can have a trickling affect. SpaceX will continue to get government money though.

Huh? This is specific to trans women. I see you’re being disenginuous in this discussion as you want to avoid the ? I asked you. Are trans women “more likely” than other women to commit SA? Is it inevitable? Any other comment w/o data is running on emotion.
comment in response to post
Again, you’re indulging in anecdotes. All SA claims have to be investigated. Where is the data saying trans women are “more likely” than other women to commit the same crime?
comment in response to post
How many instances of trans women in prison commit SA against women? Is the number valid enough to say it “makes it more likely”? I don’t think the numbers bear it out. Is this where we shld focus the majority of our energy? Missing the forest for the trees.

This is fatalism like, “All countries have slavery so what can we do?” This is specific to SA in prisons. This doesn’t happen at the same rate in every country. We could look at prison reform. How to reduce the chances. Others have done it. The point is using trans as scape goats is disingenuous.

I worked in the auto industry for years. I’m not sure how much the general public realizes the auto industry is internationally reliant to make “domestic” vehicles. They’re about to find out.

OK. If SA is a problem in prisons, where is the outrage over the well documented SA in prisons nationwide, male & female? Not just one case from a barely noticeable minority. Do u care abt SA in prisons or just one case to make a point?

Is there is any challenge or rebuttal from the press on this? I know the clip is short but does anyone tell her she’s wrong b/c of the… uh… constitution?
comment in response to post
I challenge this notion. I think they are politically savvy but they choose to use that savvy in the worst way. They are masters at shutting down progressives within the party or who work with them. Look at Bernie, Nina Turner, Rashida, AOC, etc. They turn it off in service of capital.

How so?

In this case the context is the identity of the person whom Trump attacked & if it were Biden it’d be treated differently. Trump has a long history of demeaning women in particular.

If the media truly didn their jobs, in this case they would put up previous quotes from Snoop & question his decision now. If anything the prez-elect is worse than the 1st round.

Am I the only one who thinks the way he smiles is like he’s unsure of what he’s doing or himself?

That’s their whole identity. Rage and victimhood to justify subjugating others. They have to keep looking for the smallest things to make up.

Every interview shld start with that story about Samoa. Even more than all the other crazy stuff b/c that is evidence of the deadly consequences of listening to him & ppl like him.

Also, think about how he & ppl like him aren’t dumb. They’re in highly educated fields & they have access to the same history books & info we have. They chose to ignore others sufferings & warnings just end up with this predicted result.

I think the meaning is that this isn’t what dem voters want to hear right now. We’re in a moment when we want to hear our politicians fighting for the ppl. Bad optics from a political standpoint.
comment in response to post
I believe the article is about election results, not governing.

We really need to start asking more of our citizens to take politics more seriously. We keep blaming politicians (rightfully so) but citizens also don’t take responsibility for putting those ppl in office.

I know the vote that would be closer to fixing it even though it’s not a dream solution. We could at least keep the “protections” part of the ACA w/Harris in office. But too many ppl voted for the guy who wants to destroy it entirely with no plan to replace it.
comment in response to post
Too many ppl feel the anger at the system but are ignorant about how to fix it. That’s how we get agent orange in office.
