To get the frankly stupid National government we had to have NZF and ACT foist their malicious crap on us. Never forget this NZ, this is the price of voting for the Right

I had mine and went to pay and they were all: IDK but I think it's free. I was like: but the nurse though and they were all: *shrug*. Didn't cost a cent. They could have billed me through the portal later but nothing was ever charged.

National says it "remain[s] committed to a resilient, safe and reliable connection for the Cook Strait", but they're not going to make it happen. Just like they "remain committed" to meeting our climate change obligations, while cancelling all policies to do so. #NZPol

Also please forgive the 'crazy pills' but I had to resort to a quote from Zoolander.

Meanwhile I came home a few weeks ago and noticed someone had trimmed the tree that overhangs the footpath. BUT I keep it trimmed above headheight AND they trimmed the bit over the berm, not to footpath or the road. V confusing and annoying because I do a better job.

Yes, but my point is that with the current costs, you can be really poor but not qualify for one.

Oh, so he suffers from premature proclamation.

Not all poor people qualify for a community services card. That was my point, which I neglected to say. No help unless you do. Wild as a policy, esp when the free prescriptions made a demonstrable difference

This utter horseshit that Luxon subscribes to which says only the poors can't afford $5. He assumes people have to only find $5 and that everyone only has one prescription. It's so expensive to need regular medication. For everyone.

It says toolkit. And we've already covered tape measures in the hammers. And the hammer is a mallet so π€π

And Winston pays attention and saw everyone dismissing him right through the election and, being a petty b*tch, he's making them pay.

No a minority government would be National and maybe one coalition partner if they can nail that down, surely? They would be balanced by Labour/Greens/TPM and Winston would decide every damn thing

He's going to hold and nurse that grudge and be v adversarial with the media going forward. And will probably be the same with his coalition partners as he would have heard them not taking him seriously before the election. He does love a grudge.

Luxon fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is, βnever get involved in a land war in Asia,β but only slightly less well-known is this: βNever go into coalition negotiations against a Winston when political death is on the line!β

The only way to get anything done is to be there every day at Drs rounds and ask a lot of questions. That's what a cousin did for my aunt. Old people get a lot of meh from the drs

I am the sister who thinks this and I am referring to Feilding people from the *other* side if the railway tracks, clearly. I don't know any rich Feilding people.

That's the Never Ending Story tho. But that scene scarred us all πππππ They made movies differently in the 80s

They're going to be too busy wringing their hands to just front up and get the job done. I see a good opportunity for the #greens to advance from here. We need good political leadership in this next phase. end/

I personally think #nzpol #greens should take the initiative and act like they're leading the Opposition. They need to get their spokesperson on the News every night, letting the nation know what National are up to and how it will affect them. I don't trust Labour to learn their role, honestly 3/

#nzpol I had to find out how he worked for his constituents. His office was COMPLETELY STUMPED about how he could do anything at all now he was in Opposition.
This is probably where the Labour MPs are at today. They need to get over it and learn how to advocate for their constituents anyway. 2/
