It was announced last week that artist Viktor Antonov had died, and it was clear people had a lot of love for him. So I reached out to some former colleagues, like Marc Laidlaw, Harvey Smith, Laura Dubuk and Raphaël Colantonio, who all wrote wonderful tributes. kotaku.com/viktor-anton...

I am seeing reports of this and I have yet to test it myself - but I think it is completely unacceptable to software lock the future Nvidia cards to having worse backwards compatibility. Completely unacceptable. I see no good reason for this at all. And even if there were one, I do not care.

Devastating news. Everyone I interviewed at Valve & Arkane had nothing but nice things to say about Viktor. I was so excited to finally interview him last year. He was kind & courteous. We chatted about his work on Kingpin and he promised we’d do it again. Endlessly talented. RIP Viktor, thank you.

A handy soft normals trick I learned from the source mapping ppl and also reminded of recently by @kronok.bsky.social who seems to be making an UE mapping addon In blender press Ctrl+Shift+R to make extra edges and RMB>Smooth. Unlike bevel it wont mess up orthogonal geo and its also easier to undo

funny if this is what pushes people to leave that site, not the actions of the sites owner, not the fact the dude is helping hate globally but this is the line. Thing is this will not stop them they love engagement and the idea of being perceived and hate the idea of not getting as many likes here
