Can they start with their own pensions first?

Iāve just had shingles. How long do I have to wait before I can get the vaccine? Iāve been googling but canāt find anything definitive.

I was so pleased with my GP last month. I had shingles, got same day appointment, antivirals and an emergency appointment with eye clinic the next morning.

Not true for everywhere. This is for sale in the NW and is an easy commute to Manchester City Centre.

I think they used to go to the same parties so may have a lot in common.

State pension is being called a benefit but is taxed as income if it rises above Ā£12,570 so maybe tax all income from benefits over Ā£12,570. Some people after all see benefits as income rather than a helping hand while they seek work.

Rumour has it that, even with the 25% VAT charge, it is still cheaper to send your child to Eaton than to send your parent to a London care home.

Wondered recently about the addition of calcium to white bread flour given some negative studies regarding taking calcium supplements and the link to atherosclerosis.

I think nutritionists are only in newspapers and on TV. Iāve seen a dietitian in the past and she knew her stuff.
Iād say stay away from processed meat and oysters. But what do I know?

My husbandās sister passed away on Monday. My husband and her 4 children sat with her for 24hrs. All are ill. Not COVID thankfully but another respiratory virus. I gave him an FFP3 mask. He didnāt wear it because no one else in the entire A&E dept wore a mask. Such sadness

The women born in 1953/4 deserve compensation. They were almost at retirement and the age was increased for them for a second time. Like someone moving the goalpost while youāre kicking the ball. Absolute travesty.

Iām a WASPI woman. I didnāt think I was going to get that much compensation. Maybe Ā£1000.

I think these crimes are still happening to white northern women & girls & they are no longer reporting it because the think they will be ignored or worse. We need to encourage reporting of any grooming before more tapes occurr

Great! Can you now stop them idling their engine while taking a break at bus stops please. Reducing diesel fumes near primary schools should be reduced as much as possible.

OK. As a WASPI woman, who also lost WFA, Iām curious about this suggestion. How would I be taxed and which of my assets would be taxed?
I already feel like a sitting duck on the 12th of August!

I think we need to look at other ācharitable statusā organisations who avoid tax in many forms.

I heard about raw pet food. Not good if it contains wild fowl or birds that could be infected with H5N1 from wild birds.

When I lost my Mum to COVID in 2021 care home costs was one of the things that made me most angry. The care home owners had just used her life savings to add to their asset management profits, bonuses and dividends. My Mum worked full time from age 14 to 74.

No we have all the same celebrations! The word āholidaysā in this context is a bit strange to us Brits though as it means the same as your word āvacationā. The day after Christmas Day is called Boxing Day over here. Iāll leave you to google that one!

Those who have only the state pension as income in retirement have to wait until age 66. Even though they have paid max years into the scheme. I paid NI for 50yrs. They do not have the choice to take an early reduced pension. Often having to seek less strenuous work in order to work until 66.

I donāt agree. Your figures are for people living below the poverty line well below the national minimum wage for workers. WFA is needed by many pensioners. As I have said before I will agree to disagree.

Sorry again I didnāt really read you figures. Itās hard to compare. I live mostly in Cumbria so our weather is more severe than most of the UK. Lots of properties do not even have a gas supply. So it debate with you would take too much effort. You are obviously stoic in your views anyway.
