Likely to push up prices?! 3 weeks ago, I looked at an upright freezer at Menards- $749. I went back today to get it. The exact same one had gone up $420. I came home without it.

The small town store where we all went as kids- 50 years ago- is long gone. Thank goodness no one has had the heart to remove the old cement steps. When I go home and drive by there I want to stop and tell the kids that still gather on those steps that these are their "good old days".

Each of us grandkids looked forward to grandpa bringing us a little brown paper bag filled with candy for our birthday from the little country store out close to where he and grandma lived. Happy memories 😊

I've had two cardiac ablations. Even though they say it's easy and a quick recovery it's still scary when they're messing with your heart! Best wishes!

Please don't generalize. I'm tired of people blaming us farmers and wishing the worst for us. Some of us didn't vote for him. We are good, hard-working people on a third generation farm hoping the fourth generation will take over some day. If we have a country left.

When we were kids the siren blew at noon and five. In the summer that's how all of us kids in the neighborhood knew when it was time to go home for lunch and supper. We also drank out of the hose :)
