Admittedly, as someone born in 1996, I’m just not use to paying for news and journalism, and honestly Peter, after todays banter in the bonus episode abt cost, and seeing your skeets- I think you will be my first 🫡
Which is just also funny considering Michael was a journalist first(sorry Michael!)

OMG THIS IS MY LIBRARY. I work at the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, IN. We are the 2nd largest city in Indiana and we JUST ROLLED OUT the imagination program here for two months now, and then they rescinded the funding after we JUST signed up a shit ton of kids.

Snopes says this is not true and idk if it’s right presenting this story of native folk this way

Low key tho I think there was zero trans women, and as a cis straight woman, I would have preferred they made a statement by including the trans women. We must support them too. And no one come at me in the comments bc I am literally allowed to have this take as someone IN THESE SPACES

To simply put it- if the rich Mexicans ain’t safe, then how am I suppose to feel?

Fair but a Republican senator calling out her heritage shows me, a regular ass person with the same exact heritage story to feel unsafe. So while yall just laugh about her being rich specifically, you forget it reinforced a narrative regular folks are scared about.

This is not true at all, I work at the library and this is a literal interview question. there is nothing stopping a child from checking out 50 shades of grey. The movie yes if it’s r rated bc that’s the law- but not books, you can’t stop a kid from checking out any book.

I work at a library and this is false as fuck- in the literal interview they ask you this question. There is nothing stopping a kid from checking out 50 shades of grey. An r rated movie-yes bc that’s the law but not books.

As a zillenial(1996) would you consider making a public playlist for me to educate myself with older millenial music

I am sure there are a lot of points to analyze but I do want to point out when I was in college, there was a push from professors to give us free material scanned from text books to make college more affordable- so we did get less physical books -not sure if this also plays in to the hysteria

Sir, I am a Latina explaining how men regularly target me sexually over my race and you think it’s attention seeking 😬
This isn’t about asking to be tiptoed around this is highlighting how we want left alone. Good day

Are you saying women of color are lying about our experiences with men approaching us inappropriately?

Can you explain/express this concept a little more clearly. It sounds like you need to touch some grass…

Are you familiar with fetishization of women of color?

The craziest part about this comment is you mention nazi propaganda. I am more Mexican indigenous than Spaniard. I am not aryan. You say nazis are outside my window- I will never be white enough for them- I will not turn my back on mi gente

While I acknowledge black and indigenous folk experience the highest rates of prejudice, I regularly experience micro aggressions at my job in the public library. Indiana is not kind to me. Prejudice hurts on all levels and you often do not feel safe being fetishized by men frequently

I played the lion in the wizard of oz, I am familiar with music more than one would think. I am a minority and grew up in poverty, It’s clear what’s outside my window but I am purely participating in a convo you started and that’s what bluesky is for ☺️

We also sound like we agree, it’s possible but Sabrina has been practicing a lot and that lady has not so she cannot do the sound

You sound a little young, and need to live some more life first to see how the body ages and becomes damaged. Additionally, you should genuinely not play down a talent you truly have. Not everyone can casually sing like that. Own it ☺️

And also your point just proved mine. You’re a skilled choir singer. The people in my life who hve never taken choir don’t know how to do that sound

It could be other things. the cigarette smokers in my life have always said it’s hard to use ur throat/diaphragm when you have smoker lungs. U cant get air the same way & can’t stay on pitch. Someone like Miley Cyrus could w/ her current raspy damaged voice- but my mom who has no skill could never

While vocal runs have its roots in gospel singing and black culture and the U.S. is impacted by yall ALWAYS, it’s actually also from opera and baroque and later gospel and formally referred to as Melisma

Have you ever taken a choir class, at the most basic level? Yes prolly everyone could do this but not without long term practice of the voice. I think people forget it’s a muscle. So much like you could work hard to look like “the rock” with muscle you need a LOT OF PRACTICE with singing
