I remain thankful my GP pulled me in a couple of years ago to advise me to have the MMR jab after a local measles outbreak - I was born outside the UK and my early vaccination records are somewhat sketchy.

And yet if you have a medical condition and need to renew your driving licence every THREE BLOODY YEARS you still have to do it via a paper form ðŸ«

What I still can't understand is what Thermo, Qiagen, Illumina, Nikon, Zeiss, BD, Biotechne, Abcam, Jax, Sigma [etc] think will happen? How much of common biotech/biomed reagent/instrument company revenue is from universities? Yet silence from them.

Take a look at what Etcembly are up to www.etcembly.io full disclosure, we support their comms but their platform for TCR and antibody engineering is aiming to model the dynamic interface between Ab/TCR and target.

I would love to read something from you on whether there is/should be a QALY for social care, and if so, how much?

It was fascinating - lots of juices, teas, tisanes etc, made from their garden herbs, fruits and veg. The pairings were very thoughtful as well, enhancing the food in the same way that a lovely wine pairing does ("Try it with the wine!" is my eternal cry in fancy restaurants...).

On #WorldCancerDay, like every other day, I'll continue to seek out and work with incredible life science pioneers who are trying new approaches to tackle cancer. I can't bring my mum back, but I can work towards the hope of a better future.

There's been huge progress in diagnosing and treating cancer, particularly in the past couple of decades. But when you've seen the brutal and unstoppable power of metastatic cancer up close - as I have done twice in the past 18 months - it can feel like we've made no progress at all.

I was lucky enough to go to the fantastic Pearl Morissette in Ontario and they had a whole non-alcoholic drinks pairing flight to go with the tasting menu - the driver in our group was delighted, as was the 16 Yr old. Made her first tasting menu experience really special.
