What did they expect people to do? Stand next to the tree with a fishing net trying to catch all of the leaves every time the wind blew?

So my garden isn't very big which means I'm limited but I have extended the flower bed this weekend to add some more insect friendly plants into it around the rowan tree i planted

Anyway, my bird bath arrives soon, hehehe. If I have to live on a new build estate where people have cut down trees & covered everything in shitty fake grass, because God forbid plants exist, then the least I can do is put mealworm out for the birds. FLY MY PRETTIES, FLYYYY

I am very fortunate in that most of the documents I need, which are English language, are pretty much all copperplate. French docs are okay too mostly

Aha yes. The Gunner of HMS Marlborough was found to have embezzled gunpowder, which 'occasioned the accident of her blowing up forward' Got kicked out of the navy and given 1 year in prison - Marshalsea in London.

I also really like the bio by Ran Fiennes, just because he adds in his own personal stories to add contact which I just enjoy personally because I like his writing Style

So, I would absolutely read Scott's own account - 'Journals/Scott's Last Expedition'. I'd also read 'The Worst Journey in the World' by Apsley Cherry-Garrard and Edward Wilson's 'Diary of the Terra Nova Expedition to the Antarctic' On just Scott, the bio by Crane is good.
