We hosted a #nokings protest and picnic in my little town of Chelsea, MI. We’re estimating we had ~600 people show up—including a surprise visit by @debbiedingell.house.gov .

The EO from the orange terrorist. In case you needed proof. This is the turning point. Everyone get out that Constitution and read the 3rd Amendment.

Still growing in numbers! Way to go, everyone! Thank you to all involved keep making good trouble!

Colleagues, the autism registry doesn’t exist without our participation Repeat after me: fuck you, make me If you care about Autistic people “Fuck you, make me.”

Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez, a 20-year-old American citizen born in the U.S., was jailed in Florida under a controversial state immigration law, even though he had a valid U.S. birth certificate and Social Security card. A judge confirmed both documents were real, but said she

So happy the president remembered me in his Easter message!

There we go. Support this man.

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

So what happens after a president refuses a SCOTUS ruling and demonstrates a propensity to commit future violations of Constitutional rights? Is refusing to comply with the courts considered a president’s “official act”? Or is it high crimes and misdemeanors?Add insider trading to list at any rate

We are disappointed in all those elected representatives who support fascism. Not taking a stand is complicit. To be complicit is to be a fascist. Our elected representatives are fascists. Let's call it out.

Creepy as hell. 🤡

Ds in the minority but this week: *Won a rare vote to defeat a rule in bipartisan opposition to Speaker Johnson’s plan to nuke effort to allow new parents to vote by proxy. *Won vote to overturn Trump’s emergency tariffs on Canada. *Booker controlled Senate floor ~25 hours *Won Wisconsin court race

On Jan 27, Val Kilmer posted this message of love on Twitter. Whether he was your Ice Man, Batman, or Huckleberry, he was above all else, a kind and loving human. Rest easy. ❤️💔

Already Dems, who’s next? Let’s keep this energy going.

Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"

Cory Booker

I don’t know about anyone else, but @booker.senate.gov is giving me hope today. Dems are showing up and asking questions to give him a break and show support. I am loving this.

Cory Booker is going! www.youtube.com/live/v2utlMx...

can't remember who I saw say this, but..."antisemitism" is currently being used the way "communist" was during the red scare—as a slur against disfavored opinions and groups and as a justification for the revocation of all right. it's really bad. 1

I minored in art history in college, focusing on German expressionism and Dadaism. The new “fact sheet”—“President Donald J. Trump Restores Truth and Sanity to American History” seems to set the stage for the destruction and labeling of degenerate art. One more step towards full blown fascism.

Moment of clarity today in the Senate where Republicans sided with big banks & against customers. Higher fees, lower transparency. Now it goes to the House - so call your Member of Congress to ask how they’ll vote!

“We are caught between a party that wants to make government fail, and one party that doesn’t make government work.” 🎤🫳 - @ezraklein.bsky.social

i can’t believe all it took for tesla stock to recover a bit was to do a paid photo op with the president of the united states, have the government designate vandalism on teslas as terrorism, gift multiple politicians and police stations teslas for photo ops, and get corrupt government contracts

“Think about the troops endangered from poor opsec” How about we think about the innocent civilians murdered in cold blood for a change. That’s completely lost in the current Signal scandal. Yemen became background noise to the hysteria of US politicking.

And they can…

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously. Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

FWIW Tom Cotton outright refuses to talk to reporters even when the biggest story in Washington deals with intelligence and he is the committee chairman.

And so it begins. Seems like he’s setting up Congress to pass the SAVE Act. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Blue state governors, take notes please

BREAKING: Chief Judge Boasberg denies the federal government's effort to vacate the TROs in the Alien Enemies Act case, finding that people the government claims are subject to the proclamation at least have a right to "individualized hearings to determine whether the Act applies to them at all."

Let me explain something that should be obvious: when you place somebody in custody, you assume responsibility for their wellbeing. Your job is to keep them alive and well, sometimes even in spite of themselves. Zero excuse for this. Care when it happens to them or idgaf when it happens to you.

Italy has suspended the Starlink $1.6 billion purchase negotiations with SpaceX amid Musk being a Nazi and a Trump / Russia collaborator. Italy cites security concerns about the reliability of the US.

Dictators don’t want an educated public. There are clear lines between higher education and progressive ideologies. And universities face a choice—protect academic freedom and students or cave. Columbia and Penn are test drives for the administration. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/22/n...

“The increasingly aggressive use of “antisemitism” as a political instrument was never about safety. It has always been about power: consolidating a political order that merges religion, nationalism and authoritarianism under the veneer of minority protection.” www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i...

Let’s be real the EO to eliminate the Department of Education is not just “keeping a promise”. This is a long term goal to privatize education, remove anti-discrimination regulations, and increase Christian-based education. Listen to Charlie Kirk’s show from yesterday to get the right’s perspective.

NEW: AOC in Vegas. Major challenge to Dem leadership🔥 “If you’re willing to fight for someone you don’t know, you’re welcome here. But I will say this: Those leaders on either side of aisle willing to put their fellow Americans down so they can get ahead; they may best find a home somewhere else.”

Bruh, this is not fucking lazy! This is an intro to activism, this is activism your grandma can do while watching her stories. This is activism that can be done on your lunch break to keep the pressure on. This is fucking activism the disabled can do. This is so fucking powerful, DO NOT MOCK IT!

AOC: What they like to call as radical, I believe is common sense. I believe that when a person gets sick, they shouldn’t go bankrupt in the wealthiest country in the history of the world. Common sense I believe that a minimum wage should cover the minimum cost to live. Common sense...

People keep asking me if Dems are divided between left and center of party. Nope. We are divided over old and new ways of fighting. That 20th Century playbook ain’t stopping a dictator.
